Good evening, Upper Sandusky schools will be closed tomorrow, January 20, 2026 due to the dangerously cold windchill temperatures. The DECA trip is also canceled.

USHS/USMS ATHLETIC UPDATE

Due to Mother Nature's temper and lack of cooperation, all USHS and USMS athletic events have been CANCELLED for today. This includes:

- JH Boys BBK v. Colonel Crawford
- JH Girls BBK @ Colonel Crawford
- Varsity Bowling v. Kenton

Additionally, all practices (including youth practices) have been cancelled as well. We are actively looking for reschedule dates. Please stay inside and stay warm.

The USHS Drama Department will be presenting its fundraiser performances of one-act plays this Sunday at 2:30p in the USHS auditorium. The one-acts are student directed and student performed and is the only fundraiser the club does for the year. The comedic play titles are Aspects (directed by Blake Compton and Laila Johns), Murder Box (directed by Ethan Shoemaker and Ardyn North), The Pitch (directed by Greer Kraus and Jackson Moore), and What Party? (directed by Katelyn Osborne). General admission seating tickets are $10 (cash/check) at the teepee doors which open at 2:00p. Come, be entertained, and support the high school arts!
Actors in the performances include (in no particular order): Maddy Nichols, Addy Johnson, Abby Ault, Kiki Williams, Paityn Kurtz, Hope Korte, Mayla Williams, Madelyn Coughlin, Emma Shoemaker, Max Schoenberger, Gavin Johnson, Blake Compton, Thomas Treadway, Simon Treadway, Logan Ruth, Avaline Niederkohr, Ashton Bacon, Addison Niederkohr, Aubree Barth.

Join us at tomorrow's JV/Varsity Girls Basketball game as we recognize and celebrate our future Lady Rams all-stars. Tomorrow is Youth Night at the Lady Rams home game against Colonel Crawford and we have a lot of fun planned. Each youth basketball girl (grades 3-6) will be admitted free if you wear your jersey/shirt and the first 40 girls (grades 3-6) will receive a free T-shirt. Finally, all youth basketball girls will be introduced at halftime of the varsity contest.

Additionally, we will be recognizing our 7th and 8th grade girls basketball team members between the JV and Varsity contests. Each team member will be admitted free of charge.

A great night of recognition and celebration for our future Lady Rams so come on out to "The Barn" tomorrow and help us celebrate.

Registration is now open for the USHS Lady Rams Softball camp. This camp is for all USEVS students in grades K-8 and will take place on February 8th. Please refer to the attached flyer for more information and to register for the camp. For additional information, please contact Coach Scott Morris.

Due to today's school cancellation, tonight's JH Boys and Girls Basketball games against Colonel Crawford have been CANCELLED. Both games have been rescheduled for Monday, January 19th at 5:00 PM (boys home and girls away). Please help spread the word.

Coaches will be in contact with student-athletes about practice plans for today.

Good morning today is Thursday, January 15, 2026 and Upper Sandusky schools are closed.

Good evening, tomorrow January 15, 2026 Upper Sandusky schools will be on a two hour delay in the morning.

The USHS Athletic Department would like to send out a very special CONGRATULATIONS to Seniors Ethan Lewis and Josh Heilman who earned Academic All-Ohio Honors in football. What a testament to the work these Senior leaders have put into the classroom. Ram Nation is so incredibly proud of Ethan and Josh and for how they represent themselves in everything they do. Additionally, as a team, the Rams had a cumulative GPA of 3.38 for the 2025 season. Great effort in the classroom gentlemen.

Wanted to share out the Positive Office Referrals that I didn't get to before break. The following students were recognized for exemplifying one of our Portrait of a Ram Characteristics. The following students were all recognized under the category of Responsibility. W Jeffrey for helping out a substitute teacher. W Newsome for helping a teacher. M Newsome for cleaning up for a teacher. M Alfary Vinchira for helping a visiting student find their way. J Amesquita for picking up trash in the hallway that wasn't his. H Mann for helping a teacher. L Yeater and G Deidrick for helping the office staff. We also had one student recognized for Integrity. A Peace for volunteering to escort an injured student through the hallway.
