The previous record was set in 2005 by Kate Schilling. This now makes four records broken on the year by Shiloh as she is adding her name to the list of Lady Ram Soccer legends. Ram Nation is extremely proud of Shiloh's accomplishments but even more proud of how she represents our school and community off the pitch.
Next, a CONGRATULATIONS SHOUT OUT goes out to members of the USHS Varsity Boys Cross Country team who are the 2026 N10 CONFERENCE CHAMPIONS! The Rams capped off their impressive season by beating the N10 field on Saturday at Seneca East High School and capturing their fourth team championship in 12 years and their first since 2022. The Rams were paced by Juniors Franklin Arnold who was 3rd overall (16:50) and Carter Pohlman who was 5th overall (17:01). Senior Henry Minehart also turned in a top 15 finish with a 12th place finish (17:30) as did Junior Andrew Leightey who was 14th (17:38). The Lady Rams were 4th overall with Senior Jocelyn Leightey leading the pack with a 3rd place individual finish (20:08) and Sophomore Madison Miles was 6th (20:30). Senior Abi Ault rounded out the top 20 finishers in 18th (22:20). Congratulations an another successful season for our Runnin' Rams and Lady Rams. Ram Nation is extremely proud of these performances but even more proud of how student-athletes represent our school and community off the course.

In order to make sure you are ready to go for another exciting season, the USHS Athletic Department would like to provide a few important reminders of what you will need to have done before you can start participating in winter sports. So, please take a few minutes to review these reminders and check your status.
PARENTS - Please make sure you have signed your child(ren) up in Final Forms for the winter sport they plan on playing. Only parents can log in and sign your child up for a winter sport so please make sure you are checking that status. If your child decides not to participate in a winter sport, please make sure you remove them from that sport in Final Forms. Coaches use these lists to formulate their rosters and begin communicating with their student-athletes so we need them as accurate as possible.
PARENTS AND STUDENTS - Please make sure you have a valid physical on file in the USHS/USMS office. Physicals are good for 13 months and can be done at a variety of medical facilities. You CANNOT begin to participate in any winter sport until you have a valid physical on file. If you have questions about your physical status, please contact the USHS Athletic Department.

The end of the first quarter is quickly approaching and your grades must meet the district requirements in order to be eligible to participate in the winter sports season. Remember, you are students first, athletes second.
PARENTS AND STUDENTS - Please make sure you are in communication with your child(ren)'s winter sport coach(es) for important, team specific updates. These updates might include, team meetings, information, and schedules so please make sure you have made contact with your coach(es).
Hopefully these reminders will help you avoid confusion and delay as we gear up for the winter sports season. If you have any questions or concerns with any of these reminders or need assistance in any way, please do not hesitate to reach out to your school's athletic department. We are happy to help. USHS ATHLETIC SHOUT OUTS
The USHS Athletic Department would like to send some special SHOUT OUTS to some pretty awesome student athletes on some pretty awesome accomplishments this past week.
First, a CONGRATULATIONS SHOUT OUT goes out to Senior Lady Rams soccer player Shiloh S. who with last week's three goal performance, broke the school record for most points in a season with 53. This record was previously held by Kate Schilling since 2005. Another record broken for Shiloh and the Lady Rams soccer team! Ram Nation is extremely proud of Shiloh's accomplishment but even more proud of how she represents our school and community off the pitch.
Next, a CONGRATULATIONS SHOUT OUT goes out to members of the USHS Varsity Boys Cross Country team who finished in third place in the 22 team field at this past weekend's Marion Harding Invitational. The Rams were paced by Juniors Carter Pohlman who was 7th overall in the 194 person field with a time of 16:27. Fellow Junior Franklin Arnold was 9th overall (16:38) and Senior Henry Minehart also turned in a top 25 finish with a 23rd place finish (17:10). The Lady Rams were 9th overall in the 20 team field with Senior Jocelyn Leightey leading the charge in 6th place (19:48) and Sophomore Madison Miles who was 11th (20:18). Another great day at the office for our Runnin' Rams. Ram Nation is still extremely proud of these performances but even more proud of how these teams represent our school and community off the course.
Some great stuff continuing to go on with our fall sports teams and athletes so make sure you are catching them in action before it's too late.
