USHS ATHLETIC UPDATE Due to a wet field and the threat of severe weather later this evening, the Varsity and JV Baseball games against Tiffin Columbian have been cancelled for tonight. A makeup date is being discussed. Sorry for the late notice.

Just a friendly reminder during drop off and pick up please do not block the entrances or exits to the driveway at Union/Middle School. One option is to have your child meet you in the overflow parking lot by the practice football field. The student follows the sidewalk to the crosswalk between the parking lot and the bus garage. It is the last month of the school year but our students continue to amaze us every day! Here the latests Positive Office Referrals for the High School: Delilah Moll: Has been helping in Art class by passing out students projects allowing the teacher to work with students that need the extra help or have questions. Thanks for being a kind and thoughtful RAM, Delilah! Hope Morris: Is being recognized for her big heart.  She will help in anyway possible even when being so busy with school and sports.  We love your big heart, Hope! Josh Heilman: Is a hard worker in the classroom and is always willing to lend a helping hand to those students struggling with a math concept! Way to be a Helpful and Caring RAM, Josh! Ben Ault: Volunteered to stay after Prom to help clean up when he could have left with the others. Thank you for being a Selfless RAM, Ben! Jameson Reile: Stayed after Prom to help with the cleanup instead of leaving with the rest of the attendees. Way to be a RAM, Jameson!

The Upper Sandusky Board of Education will have a special board meeting on Wednesday, May 8th at 8:00 am in the Central Office Conference room to approve the classified staff contract, amend the 2024-25 school calendar, and accept a resignation.

CONGRATULATIONS to our USMS Track and Field teams for finishing 2nd in yesterday's N10 Championships held at Bucyrus. The boys team finished 1 point behind CC for the top spot. There were several individual championship performances on the day including several new school records broken! Wyandot Memorial Hospital is once again offering sports physicals for all USHS and USMS students who are planning on playing fall sports this upcoming season. OHSAA TOURNAMENT INFORMATION: The Lady Rams Varsity Softball team will host an OHSAA Division III Sectional Final game on Friday, May 10th at 5:00 PM. They will host the winner of Wynford/Edison. Tickets prices for this contest are $5/students and $8/adult and can be purchased online at https://www.ohsaa.org/tickets. There will be a cash only option available at the gate the day of the game and no league or USHS passes will be permitted at this contest. Please note that tickets for this contest are not yet available for purchase so please check back after Tuesday of next week. The Varsity Boys Tennis team will also start their tournament run in the OHSAA Division II District Championships on Thursday, May 9th at Shelby High School. Ticket information is the same for this contest so please check back early next week. The Rams and Lady Rams Varsity Track and Field teams will compete in the OHSAA Division II District Championships on Thursday, May 16th and Saturday, May 18th at Ontario High School. More information (including ticketing) about this contest will be available next week. The Rams Varsity Baseball tournament draw is Sunday so more tournament information will be available next week. This reschedule date is VARSITY ONLY. All other contests for today are still on as scheduled. Also, the V BB home game against Seneca East (originally scheduled for 4/17), has been rescheduled for Friday, May 10th at 5:00 PM. Nominations for the USHS 2024 Hall of Fame Class are being accepted through May 24th. Candidates must be a graduate of USHS, a former coach at USHS, or an administrator at USHS and must have distinguished themselves through their athletic or administrative accomplishments, exploits, and achievements while at USHS and beyond. Please note that a nomination does not mean induction but all nominations will be kept on file to be considered for future years. If you would like to nominate a candidate for induction, please complete the nomination form found in the attached link or you can complete a paper copy of the nomination form at the high school athletic office. The 2024 USHS Hall of Fame class will be formally inducted at the home varsity football game on August 30th.
