Due to the amount of rain we received yesterday, the following athletic events are CANCELLED for today:
- Varsity Baseball v. Seneca East (rescheduled for 5/7)
- JV Baseball @ Seneca East (rescheduled for 5/7)
However, all other events are still ON for today. This includes:
- Varsity Boys Tennis @ Tiffin Columbian
- Varsity Softball v. Seneca East (Senior Night) (5:15 PM first pitch)

ATTENTION HIGH SCHOOL PARENTS! Our building has yet again played a not so funny joke on us....we have had another water pipe burst. The water has been confined to the 500 wing and has been emergency repaired. But, the floors are wet and so we will be moving those classes to other rooms in tne building for the rest of the day to keep the halls cleared for cleanup. Everyone is safe and sound and we do have water for the fountains, restrooms etc.

Congratulations to the students that received Positive Office Referrals in April and so far in May. These students exemplified one of our Portrait of a Ram characteristics (Adaptability, Critical Thinking, Integrity, Communicate Effectively, Responsibility). Lily T showed the ability to Communicate Effectively by stopping in to check on a student that was upset. Avery F showed Responsibility by straightening the entry rug because her fellow students kept tripping on it.
The Upper Sandusky Athletic Department is proud to partner with Wyandot Memorial Hospital to once again offer sports physicals for student athletes in preparation for the 2026–2027 school year. These physicals are a convenient and affordable way to help ensure your students are ready for the upcoming sports season.
Details are as follows:
Date(s): June 1st, 2nd, and 3rd at Wyandot Memorial Hospital (855 North Sandusky Ave., Upper Sandusky, Ohio 43351)
Time: 3:00pm – 6:00pm (BY APPOINTMENT ONLY)
Cost: $20 per athlete (cash or check only made payable to Wyandot Memorial Hospital Foundation) with all proceeds going directly to the athletic booster club of their school.

Our district was pleased to welcome a visit from the Wyandotte Nation. Students learned the duck dance, how to play lacrosse and about many items used in ceremonies. Pictured is a snapping turtle shaker.

2026 USHS HALL OF FAME NOMINATIONS DEADLINE APPROACHING
Nominations for the USHS Hall of Fame Class of 2026 will be closing soon so if you know anyone deserving of induction, don't miss the deadline of May 24th. Candidates must be a graduate of USHS, a former coach at USHS, or an administrator at USHS and must have distinguished themselves through their athletic or administrative accomplishments, exploits, and achievements while at USHS and beyond. Please note that a nomination does not mean induction but all nominations will be kept on file to be considered for future years. If you would like to nominate a candidate for induction, please complete the nomination form found in the attached link, or you can complete a paper copy of the nomination form at the high school athletic office or print the form off of the USEVS District page (under the Athletics/Documents tab). The 2026 USHS Hall of Fame class will be formally inducted at the home varsity football game on Friday, September 4th. If you have any questions about this process, please contact Athletic Director Blake England.

Dear RAM Family,
It is with great sadness that I must inform you about a loss to our school family. Mrs. Deb Berger, a Spanish teacher at Upper Sandusky High School has lost her brave battle with cancer. Funeral arrangements will be handled through Lucas Batton Funeral home in Upper Sandusky and we have counselors and clergy on hand at the High School in case any students or staff need support in the coming days. We express our sincere condolences to the family, friends, coworkers and students of Mrs. Berger. She was a valued member of our staff and community. She led her life with strong family values and a deep faith. She will be missed.

Congratulations to the students that received Positive Office Referrals in April. These students exemplified one of our Portrait of a Ram characteristics (Adaptability, Critical Thinking, Integrity, Communicate Effectively, Responsibility). Colin D showed Integrity by jumping up and getting the door for someone on crutches. Avery F showed Responsibility by helping to clean the room regularly following labs with her fellow students.
It's the 3rd annual Celebration of Learning but we are combining it with a Blue Ribbon Celebration day!!
Ohio has 611 public school districts, over 3500 public schools and Union Elementary was only one of 14 chosen for this award highlighting exceptional academic excellence and strong student outcomes. It's a big deal for our students and staff so celebrate with us!
Parents & Guardians please wear blue at our Open House!! I want the students to be surprised when they see everyone there celebrating with them. Thank you for making this day special for them. They have worked so hard this year. Thank you for letting us teach them this school year.

- Varsity Softball @ Bucyrus (rescheduled from 3/31) will start around 4:00 PM.
- Varsity Baseball @ Colonel Crawford (completion of tonight's suspended game) will start around 4:15 PM.
Please note these start times are dependent on arrival time and warm-up time so they could flex. Please help spread the word about these changes.
