CONGRATULATIONS to Seniors Hope Morris and Abe Baldwin for being named the All-Heart Athletes of the Month for October. Both Hope and Abe were nominated and voted on by their peers and community for the many great characteristics they display on and off the field of play. These two give everything they have to their team and their school and exemplify all of the attributes that make them the All-Heart Athletes of the Month and an important part of Ram Nation. Here is a summary of what people had to say about Hope and Abe: Hope’s enthusiasm and positivity is evident in everything she does, including school, sports, band and extracurricular activities. Her determination, hard-work and boundless energy helped her achieve her cross country goal of N-10 Champion, a 5th place finish at the DII District Cross Country Meet, Regional Qualifier and earned her 4th place on the USHS Cross Country All-Time Leader Board with a time of 19:37. Hope is a natural leader and exceptional role model for her teammates and peers. Her support and encouragement have led the cross country team to a successful season as both individuals and as a team. Those who know Hope describe her as self-confident, unique, lovely, energetic, driven, optimistic, humble and faithful. Her teammates and friends feel lucky to know her and USHS and the Athletic Department are proud of Hope and her accomplishments and feel she is very deserving of the All-Heart Athlete of the Month Award. Abraham has shown overall HEART in cross country, but especially Ambition. Through freshman, sophomore, junior, and senior year, Abraham’s PRs were 22:33, 18:47, 18:04, and 17:11, respectively. Abraham is resilient, overcoming adversity in athletics and in life. He isn’t just a great leader, but a great example of how everyone should act towards other people. Abraham respects those around him, and he is said to be a “class act.” He is a consistent young man when it comes to discipline, and he has set a great example for those who are younger than him. Abraham is a wonderful example of someone who shows HEART in all that he does, and we are proud to have him in our community. These two athletes are truly great selections for our first All-Heart Athlete of the Month award! Congratulations again to our All-Heart Athletes of the Month for October. Thank you, Hope and Abe, for representing our community through school and through athletics in a great way. We appreciate your boldness to show HEART in all that you do! RAM PRIDE!

CONGRATULATIONS to Senior Addy Newman on establishing not one but TWO new volleyball records this season. Addy now has the record for aces in a season with 73 and ends her USHS career with 206 career aces which is also tops on the list. The USHS community is extremely proud of Addy's athletic accomplishments but even more proud of how she represents our school and community off the court. Congrats again Addy on a memorable career. Additionally, the USHS Athletic Department would like to send out a very special CONGRATULATIONS to Junior Ethan Lewis who broke the Northern 10 conference record for most tackles in a single season this year. The USHS Lady Rams Cross Country team competed at the OHSAA DII Regional Championships this past Saturday at Hedges Boyer Park in Tiffin. The ladies finished the day with a 7th place team finish which was just outside the state qualification mark. The Lady Rams were paced by Sophomore Jocelyn Leightey who just missed an individual spot in the state championships with a 19th place finish (19:41) and Senior Hope Morris who finished 20th in her final high school race (19:51). What a spectacular season for the Runnin' Lady Rams! On the boys side, Senior Abe Baldwin competed in his final race of his high school tenure by finishing 50th (17:40) out of the 90+ person field. Congrats on a great season Abe! RAM PRIDE!
