The Rams were paced by Senior Aidan Bacon who was champion in the 200 Free and scored 28 points on the day. Fellow Seniors Braxton Cundiff (3rd in 500 Free and 100 Back) and Aden Davis (2nd in 200 IM and 4th in 100 Breast) scored 24 points each while Senior teammate Elijah Robinson (2nd in 100 Fly) and Freshman Drew Leightey (2nd in 500 Free) each scored 22 points on the day. CONGRATULATIONS to Seniors Brook Montgomery and Aden Davis for being named the All-Heart Athletes of the Month for December. Both Brook and Aden were nominated and voted on by their peers and community for the many great characteristics they display on and off the field of play. These two give everything they have to their team and their school and exemplify all of the attributes that make them the All-Heart Athletes of the Month and an important part of Ram Nation. Here is a summary of what people had to say about Brook and Aden: Brook shows great Enthusiasm. As a cheerleader, she brings positivity everywhere she goes and she doesn’t just have enthusiasm on the sidelines. Brook is always cheering on her softball teammates as well, and it’s simply her personality. She wants others to succeed, and she supports her teammates at all times. Brook is also said to be “a breath of fresh air!” Her bubbly personality is one that isn’t common; she has unforced enthusiasm because it’s who she is! On top of this, Brook is a hard-worker. Her tumbling and softball skills are evidence that she has put discipline into her work. Brook has been a light to our community, and it is noticeable in ALL she does. Aden has exemplified knowing his Responsibility as a senior on the Rams swimming team. While he has worked hard over the years to become a great swimmer, he doesn’t just use his skills for his own good. Rather, Aden is always willing to help those in need. He even takes his leadership beyond swimming by tutoring younger students in math. Aden knows his gifts and he uses them to his best abilities, whether it is through guiding others in the pool or academics. Aden has a personality that is polite and respectful, and his actions to help anyone are evidence of this. Aden and Brook also work hard in the classroom. They are wonderful people to be around, and their presence can light up the room. Congratulations, Brook and Aden, for being selected by the community as our December All-Heart Athletes of the month! We thank you for representing USHS in a positive manner and being wonderful influences to those around you. RAM PRIDE!

Dear USEVS Families, On Wednesday 1/7/25, the district was notified by PowerSchool, the platform that houses our student information, about a national data breach that took place on December 22nd. During this data breach, student and staff data was accessed. PowerSchool began an immediate investigation and has been provided reasonable assurance that the data was destroyed and not shared. While the investigation is ongoing, here is what we currently know: The compromised data includes two sets of information, one related to teachers and one to students. Most of this data involves demographic information such as names, addresses, emails, and phone numbers. It’s important to note that while some accessed fields could potentially contain sensitive information (e.g., Social Security Numbers), our district does not typically store sensitive data in these fields. This breach did not occur as a result of any actions by our district. It was accessed through a PowerSchool support account and was not due to a failure in our local data protection measures. It’s also important to note that no other data, such as grades or course information, was compromised in this incident. Next Steps: The district will conduct a thorough internal audit to understand what data, if any, was affected. We have already started to review the data that was potentially impacted, and will share appropriate information as we are able. Thank you for your understanding and patience as we work through this situation. I will keep you informed as we learn more and provide any updates regarding additional steps or recommended actions. We expect further guidance from PowerSchool (including a Frequently Asked Questions document), as they continue their investigation into this breach. As soon as we receive any updates we will be certain to pass them along to our community.
