February Positive Office Referrals #3. - The following students showed our Portrait of a Ram characteristics in earning positive office referrals. Izabella Escobar has shown Critical Thinking as she is working her way through her Acellus classes. Addy Newman, Rae Hahn, and Ella Frombaugh all showed Responsibility by volunteering to help our school Librarian with a project. Emma Landerversicht showed both Critical Thinking and Integrity in her Art class and by donating her personal books to the school library.





February Positive Office Referrals #2. - The following students showed our Portrait of a Ram characteristics in earning positive office referrals. Gavyn Deidrick showed Responsibility by holding the door for his classmates after the fire drill. Rylee Cox showed the ability to Communicate Effectively by informing her teacher in advance of an impending absence. Aysia Paymon, Tyler Suits, Zakk Rochester, and Leonard Maynard all showed the ability to Adapt and Grow as students and individuals.






HISTORY MADE!
For the first time in USHS athletics history, the Varsity Girls Bowling team has advanced to the District Tournament! The Lady Rams had to battle three separate postponements in order to complete their Sectional Round but their perseverance paid-off in the form of team qualification onto District competition. The Lady Rams secured the fourth qualification spot with a combined score of 2935 only 42 points from the second spot. The team was paced by Freshman Brynn Routzahn who was fourth overall individually with a score of 488 and Junior Olivia Griswold who was seventh overall with a score of 476. Senior Hope Morris bowled a 400 while Freshman Hayden Guinther bowled a 361 and fellow Freshman Lilian Swartz bowled a 339. The Lady Rams will be in action on Friday morning at Interstate Lanes in Rossford with a start time of 10:00 AM. What an amazing accomplishment for their inaugural season! Good luck at Districts ladies. Ram Nation is proud of you.

BOYS BASKETBALL:
Tickets for tomorrow night's (2/20) Varsity Boys Basketball Sectional Final home game against Clear Fork are now on sale at https://www.ohsaa.org/tickets. Tickets CAN ALSO be purchased at the door (CASH ONLY) for $8 Adult/$5 Student (K-12). The Rams are the #2 seed in the district and will host the #8 seeded Colts tomorrow night starting at 7:00 PM. Doors will open at 6:00 PM. Reminder that per OHSAA rules, NO N10 OR SEASON PASSES will be accepted at the gate. Additionally, per OHSAA rules, the gym will be divided into a home and visitor side so reserved ticket seating may not be available. Signs will be posted at the event. Programs will be available for purchase ($2).

NO PASSES will be accepted.

Due to the extremely icy conditions on the country roads Upper Sandusky schools are closed today, Tuesday, February 18, 2025.
Due to the blowing and drifting snow in the country, Upper Sandusky schools will be on a two hour delay Tuesday, February 18, 2025.
CONGRATULATIONS goes out to three of our Senior Swimmers for earning podium spots at Friday's District Meet hosted by BGSU. Senior Aidan Bacon broke his own school record in the 500 Free with a time of 5:19.19. Fellow Senior Braxton Cundiff was 8th place in the 100 Back with a time of 57.08 and Senior Ellie Zeller was 6th place in the 200 Free with a time of 2:03.77 (also a State Qualifying time). What a great way to end their USHS tenure! Thank you to all of our Senior swimmers for the dedication and impact they have had on our swim program. Ram Nation is proud of you.

CONGRATULATIONS to three of our Lady Rams Roundballers for earning All-League Honors in Basketball. Senior Grace Walton earned 1st Team All-N10 honors while fellow Senior Addy Newman earned 2nd Team All-N10 honors. Finally, Senior Ellee Ham received Honorable Mention honors. The USHS community is extremely proud of these ladies' athletic accomplishments but even more proud of how they represent our school and community off the court. Thank you for everything you have done for Lady Rams basketball during your tenure. Congratulations ladies on a great accomplishment and what a way to end your high school careers. Go Lady Rams!

STATE QUALIFIER ALERT
The USHS Athletic Department would like to send a very big CONGRATULATIONS to Senior Ellie Zeller who has qualified for the 2025 OHSAA DII State Swimming Championships! Ellie took to the pool on Friday at BGSU in the District Championships and her time of 2:03.77 in the 200 Free was good enough to qualify for the 32 person field at next week's State Championships in Canton. Ellie will compete at the highest level of high school competition on Thursday, February 20th at Canton's C.T. Branin Natatorium. Ram Nation is extremely proud of Ellie's accomplishments but even more proud of how she represents our school and community out of the pool. Congrats again Ellie and Good Luck at State!

REMINDER
Tomorrow is our combined USMS/USHS Spring sports parent meeting starting at 7:00 PM in the USHS gymnasium. This meeting will be a combined meeting for all USMS and USHS parents who have students planning on participating in spring sports. CONGRATULATIONS goes out to four of our USHS wrestlers for being crowned N10 Champions yesterday at the BVC/N10 Championships hosted by Van Buren High School. Freshman Braylon Shepherd was champion at 106 pounds while fellow Freshman Graham Wolf was champion at 113 pounds and Junior Ethan Lewis is N10 champ at 157. Rounding out the championships was Senior Abe Baldwin earned his fourth straight N10 crown at 120 pounds. What a remarkable performance by Abe and all of our USHS Rasslin' Rams. The team will begin their postseason run this Saturday at the DII Sectional Tournament in Galion. Congrats again gentlemen and thanks for representing our community and school in a positive way on and off the mat.

REMINDER that tonight's JV/Varsity Boys Basketball season finale against Carey begins at 5:00 PM at USHS. Tonight, we will be recognizing our Senior basketball players and cheerleaders at the conclusion of the JV contest so please come out and show your appreciation for this group of great student-athletes. Good morning, Due to the icy conditions this morning and serious staffing shortages Upper Sandusky schools will be closed Thursday, February 13, 2025. Many of our staff come from surrounding counties, which are under level two and three snow emergencies and cannot travel. This places us in a position where we do not have enough staff to operate. Conferences this evening will be canceled and teachers will reach out to those who have scheduled conferences to arrange a time to discuss your students progress.
