National School Breakfast Week 2025 Celebrated at Upper Sandusky Schools!
To encourage more families to take advantage of the healthy choices available with school breakfast, Upper Sandusky schools will celebrate National School Breakfast Week (NSBW) during March 3-7, 2025. Students will "Clue In" to a tasty and nutritious breakfast and have a chance to win daily prizes! The 2025 NSBW campaign theme, “Clue In to School Breakfast,” reminds the entire school community that school breakfast provides a healthy and energizing start to the day for students.
A healthy breakfast at the start of the day is a great way to ensure students are nourished and ready to learn. National School Breakfast Week helps to educate parents and students about all the nutritious and delicious choices offered.

Congratulations to our staff of the month for February. Certified staff is Ms. Patti Niederkohr for her dedication and caring for students and the help she provides. Classified staff is Ms. Taylor Frey for her ability to adapt to whatever happens and her willingness to help out in all situations.

Emmilee Grafmiller showed Critical Thinking by asking if she could remove things from the wall to make the school look nicer.

Please be sure to forget everything about this flier and email. The parent team at Union is absolutely not sponsoring another pie a teacher (or principal) in the face fundraiser. Two of your principals have beards and one has very long hair which makes cleaning pie from it very difficult.
Please do not vote for your favorite teacher to be pied. Also, be sure that your class does not have 100% participation so that principals are pied. Also please forget that money is being collected on 2/28 & 3/7 after lunch in the Auditorium.
Sincerely,
Dr. Watson, Mrs. Parrot & Mr. Dible

SECTIONAL CHAMPION ALERT
A huge CONGRATULATIONS goes out to Junior Ethan Lewis who wrestled his way to a sectional championship in the 157 pound weight class on Saturday at the DII Sectional Championships hosted by Galion High School. This sectional win punches Ethan's ticket to next week's DII District Championships at Norwalk High School and moves him one step closer to a State Championship appearance. Another great performance by one of USHS' best student-athletes.
Joining Ethan at the District Championships on Friday will be Freshman Braylon Shepherd who was runner-up at 106 pounds and fellow Freshman Graham Wolf who was fourth place at 113 pounds. Rounding out the District qualifiers was Senior Abe Baldwin who kept his historic USHS career alive by qualifying fourth in the 126 pound class. Ram Nation is incredibly proud of the athletic accomplishments of our USHS Wrestlers but even more proud of how they represent our school and community outside of the mat. Good luck at Districts guys.

The end of a historic season. The Lady Rams Varsity Bowling team ended their inaugural season at Interstate Lanes in Rossford at the DII District Championships. The Lady Rams held their own against some veteran and extremely tough competition finishing in 14th place (2744 pins). Leading the way for the Lady Rams was Junior Olivia Griswold who bowled a 480 pin three game series. Ram Nation is extremely proud of our Lady Rams bowling squad and we are excited to see them continue to grow and develop in the years to come. Until next year.

Good morning today is Friday, February 21, 2025 and Upper Sandusky schools will be on a two hour delay.
Attention drivers and/or parents! Don't forget that tomorrow will be our annual “Drive your Tractor to School Day” for our FFA members. Please be aware that Houpt Drive will be blocked by tractors from 7:40-7:50 that morning. Please plan to arrive at school before 7:40 AM to avoid delays and avoid Houpt Drive if at all possible. Also, the front of the HS will be blocked to traffic beginning at 7:45 to accommodate the tractors which will be parking along the front of the school. Students may enter the North lot from SH 53 to park and staff that usually park in front of the school will need to park elsewhere tomorrow. Thanks!
