Food Service Announcement
For the past two years, Upper Sandusky Exempted Village Schools has
participated in the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) waivers that
allowed our district to serve free meals to all students. These USDA waivers
expired on June 30, 2022. This means at the beginning of the 2022-2023 school
year, food service programs nation-wide will return to pre-pandemic operations.
School meals will still be available to all students; however, they will not be free to
all students. Breakfast and lunch prices for school year 2022-2023 are as follows.
Breakfast: K-12 $1.50
Lunch: K-5 $2.95, 6-8 $3.10, 9-12 $3.25
It is very important for each family to complete a Free and Reduced- Price Meal
Application. Eligibility for free and reduced-priced lunch is based on federal
income guidelines or participation in other programs such as Supplemental
Nutrition Assistance Program and Ohio Works First. Each student will receive an
application however, only one application is necessary for each family as all Upper
Sandusky School’s students in the household should be listed on one application.
For questions or additional information please contact Gina Lewis, Food Service
Director at 419-294-2306 or email gina_l@usevs.org
