Ram Fans! It is winter sports week! Our Lady Rams basketball team will kick off our winter sports season tomorrow night when they host Van Buren. The JV tip-off is scheduled for 6:00 PM. With the start of our winter season upon us, we wanted to share some awesome opportunities with you.
First, USHS is now a dual sports school. This means that a student-athlete can participate in two sports in the same season with the proper permissions. We recommend only those student athletes who are physically, mentally, and academically prepared, consider dual sports. If you have any questions, please contact Athletic Director Blake England.
Next, the Ram Pride Challenge is back for those students who want to win prizes. It's simple, attend athletic events, earn points, win prizes. Stop by the athletic office to get your paperwork.
The USHS National Honor Society will be sponsoring a 3-point shot at halftime of every home boys and girls basketball game this season. Bring your game and see if you can walk away with some cash.
There will also be a halftime half court shot for cash throughout the basketball season. Students can purchase tickets throughout the week to enter into the drawing for a chance to make a half court shot and win some prizes. Further details will be announced later.
We look forward to seeing our wonderful community support this winter season at all of our sporting events. Come out and support our fantastic student athletes and their coaches. Go Rams and Lady Rams!
