The JV/Varsity SB scrimmage scheduled for today at Northmor has been CANCELLED due to winter's bad attitude. We will resume spring sports season once Mother Nature comes to her senses. Ram Pride!

The USHS JV/Varsity Softball teams will be scrimmaging Northmor tomorrow (3/19) at Northmor High School starting at 4:30 PM. This will be a modified double-header. This scrimmage will replace the cancelled scrimmages from today. Ram Pride!

The JV and Varsity Baseball and Softball scrimmages that were scheduled for today have been CANCELLED due to unplayable field conditions.
The JV/Varsity Baseball scrimmage has been RESCHEDULED for tomorrow, March 16th at noon at USHS. This will be a double header.
The JV/Varsity Softball scrimmage has NOT been rescheduled at this time.

This is our 5th year participating in the always epic triple digit pitch fundraiser with our Union PTO. Pledge forms will be going home today and they are due back on March 25th. The students had a lot of fun today with our kickoff assembly!

FFA STRAWBERRIES UPDATE: We just learned today that the order has once more been delayed due to the weather caused by El Nino. Thank you for being patient as we continue to deal with the weather issues Florida is experiencing while working with our supplier to get you the best berries. The new delivery date is March 18 from 3-6PM and includes the meat, cheese, and chocolate for those of you who ordered that as well!

CONGRATULATIONS to Senior Holden Daris for being named First Team All-N10 in boys basketball this season. Holden was fourth in the league in scoring average (14.4 PPG), seventh in assists (3.1 PG), fifth in steals (2.1 PG), fifth in rebounds (6.0 PG), and fifth in field goal percentage (55%). Holden also earned District 6 Division II 2nd Team Honors and will play in the Fostoria Athletic Boosters All-Star Game on March 17th. What a great way to end his high school playing career. Thank you Holden for being a great asset to USHS.
Junior Kaimen Iles was also named Honorable Mention All-N10 this season. Kaimen was seventh in the league in rebounds (5.7 PG), seventh in field goal percentage (54%), and sixth in FT percentage (75%). Great job this season Kaimen. Ram Pride!

CONGRATULATIONS to Senior Kendall Van Horn who recently signed her letter of intent to play golf at Bluffton University next fall! USHS is proud of Kendall's accomplishments on and off the course and we wish her nothing but the best in her collegiate career. Ram Pride!

NEW DELIVERY DATE of Monday, March 11th for the FFA strawberries, meat, cheese, and chocolate sales! Depending on the arrangements you originally made, students will be delivering items that day or you can pick items up from 3:00-6:00pm in the Ag Shop. Please make sure you know who you bought off of. Thank you for your patience. We wanted to make sure we had the best berries delivered to you!

FINAL REMINDER: USHS WINTER SPORTS TOURNAMENT INFORMATION:
The Lady Rams basketball team will play Margaretta in the OHSAA D3 District Semifinal game tonight at Shelby High School. This game will be the second game of a split session which means the gym will be emptied following the conclusion of the 6:00 game so start time for the game might be closer to 8:00 PM. Tickets may be purchased online at https://www.ohsaa.org/tickets OR they may be purchased at the door with CASH or CREDIT. Ticket prices are $8/adult and $5/student. No league passes will be accepted.
Ethan Lewis and Abe Baldwin will compete in the OHSAA D2 District Wrestling Championships at Norwalk High School tomorrow starting at 4:00 PM. Tickets can also be purchased online or at the door as well.

As we reach the end of the winter sports season, the USHS Athletic Department would like to say a very emphatic THANK YOU to all of our bus drivers, ticket takers, game personnel, officials, volunteers and anyone else who played a hand in making the winter season a success. Without your contributions (small and large) to our athletic events, our student athletes wouldn't be able to experience the benefits of high school athletics.
