It's tournament time so please see the below information about the upcoming postseasons for our USHS spring sports teams:
BOYS TENNIS (SECTIONAL TOURNAMENT)
The Rams Tennis team will start their postseason journey on Thursday, May 14 at Shelby High School starting at 9:00 AM. Tickets are on sale now and MUST be purchased online at ohsaa.org/tickets. Prices are $10 Adult/$5 Student.
SOFTBALL (DISTRICT SEMIFINALS)

Although it isn't summer quite yet, we wanted to give you a few athletic reminders as we quickly approach the summer months.
Reminder that sports physicals are now available for any USHS/USMS student-athlete who plans to participate in sports next season. These physicals are $20 (cash or check only), available through Wyandot Memorial Hospital and can be scheduled (by appointment only) on June 1-3 from 3:00-6:00 PM. Please contact WMH to schedule an appointment. All proceeds from these physicals will be donated back to the USHS Rams Athletic Boosters. Please see attached flier for more details.
Reminder that USHS youth camp registration is still open for several sports this summer. Registrations for these camps can be found on the USEVS website:

Please note that a nomination does not mean induction but all nominations will be kept on file to be considered for future years. We want to inform you that the entrance/exit to SR 53 will be closed until further notice to accommodate the City’s ongoing sewer project. As a result, we are amending the traffic pattern at Upper Sandusky High School to ensure student and driver safety and to maintain smooth traffic flow.
Key Traffic Changes:
Morning Drop-Off (AM):
~The high school lot will operate as ONE WAY, as it does currently.
~Enter using the WEST Houpt Drive (near the softball field).
~Proceed around the building and exit via the EAST Houpt Drive exit.
~Please be especially mindful of school buses and students walking through the lot.
Afternoon Pick-Up (PM):
~Will be similar to the AM pattern with one key difference: There will be two lines that move around the building. The LEFT lane will turn LEFT onto Houpt Drive while the RIGHT lane will turn RIGHT onto Houpt Drive.
Please look at the diagrams to help visualize the new traffic patterns. Thank you for helping us keep our staff and students safe while at the same time moving traffic efficiently onto or off of our property.

Field events will start at 4:30 PM with running events starting at 5:00 PM. Parking will also be limited as there are three events going on at Elmwood tonight (track, baseball, and softball).
Also, tonight is a HUGE N10 matchup in softball as our Lady Rams look to clinch the title outright when they host Mohawk at 5:00 PM. We would love to see a packed house on hand for this game so, if you aren't doing anything and you don't mind a little rain, stop on out and cheer on our Lady Rams.

ATTENTION HIGH SCHOOL PARENTS! Our building has yet again played a not so funny joke on us....we have had another water pipe burst. The water has been confined to the 500 wing and has been emergency repaired. But, the floors are wet and so we will be moving those classes to other rooms in tne building for the rest of the day to keep the halls cleared for cleanup. Everyone is safe and sound and we do have water for the fountains, restrooms etc.

Congratulations to the students that received Positive Office Referrals in April and so far in May. These students exemplified one of our Portrait of a Ram characteristics (Adaptability, Critical Thinking, Integrity, Communicate Effectively, Responsibility). Lily T showed the ability to Communicate Effectively by stopping in to check on a student that was upset. Avery F showed Responsibility by straightening the entry rug because her fellow students kept tripping on it.
The Upper Sandusky Athletic Department is proud to partner with Wyandot Memorial Hospital to once again offer sports physicals for student athletes in preparation for the 2026–2027 school year. These physicals are a convenient and affordable way to help ensure your students are ready for the upcoming sports season.

As you might have guessed by looking out a window, the weather has forced us to CANCEL several athletic events for today. These include:
- JV/Varsity Softball @ Galion (looking for reschedule date)
- Varsity Baseball @ Galion (looking for reschedule date)
- JV Baseball v. Galion (looking for reschedule date)
- Varsity Boys Tennis @ Fremont Ross Invite (rescheduled for 5/8)
The Varsity Track & Field meet @ Colonel Crawford is still ON as scheduled (because track and field athletes are built different). Please help spread the word.

2026 USHS HALL OF FAME NOMINATIONS DEADLINE APPROACHING
Nominations for the USHS Hall of Fame Class of 2026 will be closing soon so if you know anyone deserving of induction, don't miss the deadline of May 24th. Candidates must be a graduate of USHS, a former coach at USHS, or an administrator at USHS and must have distinguished themselves through their athletic or administrative accomplishments, exploits, and achievements while at USHS and beyond. Please note that a nomination does not mean induction but all nominations will be kept on file to be considered for future years. If you would like to nominate a candidate for induction, please complete the nomination form found in the attached link, or you can complete a paper copy of the nomination form at the high school athletic office or print the form off of the USEVS District page (under the Athletics/Documents tab). The 2026 USHS Hall of Fame class will be formally inducted at the home varsity football game on Friday, September 4th.
