HISTORY MADE
For the first time in USHS Lady Rams Golf team history, the team has advanced to the District Tournament! Despite the less than favorable conditions yesterday, the Lady Rams mustered together enough clutch shots to finish third overall in the team standings at the DII Sectionals at Valley View and punch their ticket to the OHSAA Division II District Championships next week at Sycamore Springs. Leading the way for the Lady Rams was Sophomore Jillian Stansbery who shot an 89 to finish 4th individually. Another impressive accomplishment for our Lady Rams as they continue on this historic journey. Ram Nation is extremely proud of your efforts and even more proud of how you represent our school and community off the links. Good luck at Districts next week.

Attention HS Parents and Student drivers! Mother Nature had other plans and Houpt was NOT paved today after all. With that being said, they are going to try again tomorrow (Friday 9/18). They will begin at the Sandusky Ave end, so I expect the 53 entrance/exit to be open and the Houpt Dr entrance/exit along the BACK of the school to be open but the Houpt Dr exit along the FRONT of the school will be most likely closed in the morning. I hope that al three will be open by the afternoon. Today, I noticed that the transition from street to parking lot is pretty rough, so take care with your tires!!
Audition for this year's fall play production! Last chance to audition is Friday, September 18th after school!

USHS ATHLETIC SHOUT OUTS
The USHS Athletic Department would like to send some special SHOUT OUTS to some pretty awesome student athletes and coaches on some pretty awesome accomplishments this past week.
First, CONGRATULATIONS goes out to USHS Head Football Coach Russell Hall who was named the Lewis Family McDonald's Coach of the Month! Coach Hall was nominated by his players for this recognition and we are so grateful for the time and effort he puts into both teaching and coaching at USHS. A true professional in every sense of the word who always goes above and beyond for his co-workers and student-athletes. Ram Nation is extremely proud to have Coach Hall on our sidelines and in our hallways. Congratulations Coach on this very deserving recognition.
Another CONGRATULATION SHOUT OUT goes out to the USHS Lady Rams Golf team who made history (twice) this past week. First, the team set a new team score record with a 175 last week at Loudon Meadows! This breaks the previous school record set just last year at 187. Another great performance by our Lady Ram golfers. But to top it all off, the Lady Rams won their first ever N10 Conference Championships on Tuesday at Woody Ridge Golf Course in Shelby! The team edged league newcomer Hopewell-Loudon by 1 stroke (362-363) to claim the team's first ever title and the first ever league championship to be awarded in the newly expanded league. What an amazing accomplishment for our ladies and Coach Newell. Ram Nation is extremely proud of these accomplishments but even more proud of how you represent our school and community off the links.
Another CONGRATULATIONS SHOUT OUT goes to the USHS Rams Golf team who won the final N10 Championship Tournament of the season yesterday at Woody Ridge. The team was paced by Sophomore Toby H. who fired a scorching 68. The Rams held off league champion Colonel Crawford 308-312 for the final prize of the season. Great effort and performances by the guys and Coach Treadway.
Some great stuff continuing to go on with our fall sports teams and athletes so make sure you are catching them in action.
