ATTENTION: The third installment of the "All Heart Athlete of the Month" voting is now open to Ram Nation. The USHS Athletic Department is once again excited and proud to announce this very special recognition for our amazing student-athletes. The All-Heart Athlete of the Month is a great way to show some love and recognition for our student-athletes and what they do on and off the field of play. The way this will work is that every month, students at USHS will get the chance to nominate a student-athlete that they feel embodies all of the elements of the AHAOTM. Those elements include Hard work, Enthusiasm, Ambition, Responsibility, and Thoughtfulness. These elements are further described in the documents tab of our district website for your reference. Once the students have made their nominations, the field is narrowed down to the top three by vote of the staff at USHS. These top three male and female athletes are then sent to you, Ram Nation, for your vote. You can vote for one male and female student-athletes using the Google Form attached to this post. The final tally will result in who is crowned the All-Heart Athlete of the Month. If you have any questions about this process please contact the USHS Athletic Department and we will be happy to assist you. The voting will end on Wednesday, December 4th at midnight so please get your votes in by that deadline. Thanks in advance for your participation in this special recognition.

Last week, Miss Kaufman's Math classes reviewed concepts for a Math test participating in a scavenger hunt!

7th grade parents, students in Mrs. Dancer's class were working on blackout poetry. Blackout poetry is when students choose a piece of text where blocking out words from a page of text to create their own poetry and art!

7th grade parents- students in Mrs. Pitchfords class were discussing a book using the Socratic Seminar method. This is a structured conversation that students facilitate through open-ended questioning, listening carefully to one another, sharing their thoughts, and making meaning together integrating real world issues with recent literature that the students just read.

ATHLETIC REMINDERS
To help us celebrate our winter sports athletes, coaches, and teams, the USHS Athletic Department and the USHS Student Athlete Leadership Team will be hosting a "Meet the Teams Night" on Friday, November 22nd in the USHS gymnasium starting at 7:00 PM. This mini Ram Rumble style event will be open to the community with concessions, games, and interactions with the USHS winter sports athletes. So bring the family out for this event and help us get our winter sports season started with enthusiasm. If you have any questions about this event, please contact the USHS Athletic Department. Go Rams and Lady Rams!
The USHS Athletic Department in conjunction with the Rams Athletic Boosters is excited to introduce the Jackpot Ball Drop. The way it works is simple: buy a ball, get entered, and wait for the big drop. Once a ball is purchased, it will get numbered and put into the bag. Once all the balls have been sold, they will be dropped at the conclusion of one of our home basketball games. The ball that lands closest to the center court mark will win $500! It’s that simple. There are 100 balls available for purchase and each ball is $20 a piece and can be purchased at the USHS main office any time during the school day. The contest will end as soon as all balls are purchased. Don’t miss out on this great opportunity to support USHS athletics and win some cash at the same time. Please contact the USHS Athletic Department if you have any questions. Thanks in advance for your continued support.
