The 7th & 8th grade are making class T-shirt’s to raise $$ for PBIS & incentives this year. Mr. Minehart is teaching them underlying business concepts as they design, market, distribute & handle money. Students visited Kimmel Apparel to select different options for shirt fabrics.
Mr. Kinnear’s 6th grade math classes were breaking the ice by playing a little math card game of “Race to 100” on the first day of school!

6th grade teachers teach students how to build stamina for independent work during RamTime. Checklists are used as a strategy for routine and structure which allow all children to do meaningful work independently as teachers work in small groups and with individual children.
Due to school being cancelled tomorrow, August 24th. School pictures will be rescheduled for Tuesday, August 29th for grades PreK-8th grade at Union/USMS.

I just wanted to send you a friendly reminder about our MS Open House tomorrow night in the gymnasium. We have specific times for you listed below. Information will be given out for each grade level. Please plan on attending your son/daughter's grade-level time. New students will be able to pick up their Chromebook in the auditorium. We will also have community agencies sharing what services they provide for our community. School-issued locks for $5 can also be purchased in the auditorium as well. Thank you for your continued support and we hope to see you all tomorrow night.

The Ohio Department of Education is thrilled to announce the State of Ohio FY24-FY25 biennial budget includes funding to cover the cost of providing no-cost breakfast and no-cost lunch to students qualifying for reduced-price meals. Starting in school year 2023-2024, the budget language requires public and chartered nonpublic schools that participate in the National School Breakfast or Lunch Program to provide a breakfast or lunch at no cost to each student eligible for a reduced-price breakfast or lunch.
