In accordance with Ohio Revised Code Sections 121.22, you are hereby notified that the Board of Education of the Upper Sandusky Exempted Village School District has called a Special Meeting of the Board of Education on Wednesday, September 4, 2024 at 4:00 p.m. in the Central Office Conference Room, 800 N. Sandusky Avenue, Suite A, Upper Sandusky Ohio 43351 . The purpose of the meeting is for the Board to consider personnel matters.
The Board intends to immediately move into Executive Session per Section 121.22(G)(1).
New date for school pictures 9/16/24!!!
Due to the heat advisory - we will be closed tomorrow, Tuesday 8/27. Picture day will be on 9/4/2024 for both Union Elementary and Upper Sandusky Middle school.
Due to the heat advisory and building temperatures Upper Sandusky Schools will be closed tomorrow August 27, 2024.
Parents we are expecting very high temps this week. Please dress your students in cooler clothing and make sure that they have a water bottle. We will do our best to ensure students stay hydrated and closely monitor any outdoor activities.
A friendly reminder that there is NO SCHOOL on Mon., Sept. 2 - Labor Day, Mon., Sept. 9 - Fair Day, and Tues., Sept. 10 for students - Teacher PD Day! Please make a note of this!!
We are working with PowerSchool Support to resolve the issue of grades and attendance not getting populated in Parent Portal for students and parents. We will stay on top of this and hopefully have this fix as soon as possible.
We appreciate your patience and understanding on this matter.

It's the first day of school! Here's to a fantastic day for everyone.
Parents K-5 just a friendly reminder that your children enter at the auditorium doors, please walk on the side walks. Auditorium door will be open at 7:15am.
K parents only the recess door will be open at 7.50am for your child's first day only. Park in the small parking lot by the football field.
Parents if you are dropping your children off please do so on Hazel street. I will be at the crosswalk at 7:30am ready to have a great first day!
It's CRUNCH TIME for back to school! Time to get money on account for meals and complete a Free/Reduced meal application!
Our district uses PaySchools Central for online meal payments which was new at the end of last school year. If you haven't set up an account yet or are new to the district now is a great time to get that done!
And while you are there, complete an online Free/Reduced Meal Application for this school year, 24/25. Only one per family and it is secure and confidential!

K-3 parents we are looking forward to seeing you at our OPEN HOUSE today at 5pm-6pm. Please park in the large lot or smaller lot next to the football field and enter through the Auditorium Doors (doors will be propped open and there will be signs). When you enter through the doors please feel free to:
1. Visit your student's classroom, see their teacher and drop off supplies. Your teachers are excited to see you!
2. Visit our community partner tables, collect a ticket, write your name on the back and drop it in the bucket next to Rammy to win a backpack full of school supplies.
3. Take lots of pictures! We will have RAMMY in a photo frame and I'll be more than happy to take your picture.

Reminder: A K parent only meeting will be held TOMORROW at the Union Auditorium on August 14th, 2024 @ 6pm. Although we LOVE having your students this meeting will only be for parents.
All student Chromebooks have been activated/enabled for the start of the 2024-2025 school year. You will need to connect the Chromebook to a Wi-Fi connection somewhere before the disabled message will go away on the login screen, as the unlock command/policy is "in the cloud". After this, please attempt to log in to make sure the Chromebook is working properly. If you have any issues, please bring the Chromebook to the high school (where the I.T. office is located) BEFORE the first day of school so we can take care of your issue(s). If a student has forgotten their login password, email me requesting a password refresh (daryl_h@usevs.org).
Dear Kindergarten Parents,
A K parent only meeting will be held at the Union Auditorium on August 14th, 2024 @ 6pm. Although we LOVE having your students this meeting will only be for parents. This is a chance for you to turn in any outstanding documents, tour the building before Open House, discuss your child's first day and have any outstanding questions answered. A mailing will be going out today with your child's classroom assignment as well as other details. This is not a required meeting especially if you have been through the K process before BUT will be very helpful if this is your first time through K with us or even if it has just been a few years. I am looking forward to seeing you then.
