Union Kindergarten parents! A reminder that tomorrow (8/16/23) at 6.30pm there is a Kindergarten (parents only) meeting at Union in the auditorium. We will be collecting all necessary documentation if you have anything missing as well as going over important information, procedures and any questions you may have. The Ohio Department of Education is thrilled to announce the State of Ohio FY24-FY25 biennial budget includes funding to cover the cost of providing no-cost breakfast and no-cost lunch to students qualifying for reduced-price meals. Starting in school year 2023-2024, the budget language requires public and chartered nonpublic schools that participate in the National School Breakfast or Lunch Program to provide a breakfast or lunch at no cost to each student eligible for a reduced-price breakfast or lunch.

If your child attends Union K-3 and you would like to meet your new principal, I'd like to invite you and your child to join us for "Popsicles with the Principal." This will be a wonderful opportunity to get to know me in a relaxed setting. The event will take place on August 10th from 4 pm to 5 pm at the Union Playground. The Union secretaries are on vacation and won't be back until the beginning of August. Mrs. Parrott will be working this summer most days. If you need something at school, please send her an email patty_p@usevs.org or call the school and leave a message either on her extension 102 or Mrs. McMillan's extension 112. Mrs. McMillan's last day will be June 22nd. Please don't leave any messages for her after that date.
Parents - if your child brings home their student ID, please set it aside and have them bring it back in the fall. We use those for lunchroom check out and we didn't know they were going to be reused in the fall. It is an orange plastic card that has your student's picture and name on it. Thank you and sorry for the late notice.
Remember that today is an early release for students. They will be released at 12:40 PM. Have a great summer!

Ohio Pandemic EBT Program. Ohio has been approved to issue Summer P-EBT benefits to eligible K-12 students who normally qualify for free or reduced price school meals for summer 2023. Each eligible child will receive one payment of $120, which will be issued on P-EBT cards by the end of June.

This is our current lost and found clothes table. We also have about 10 lunchboxes on another table. Please come to Union School if you would like to look through either of these tables for your child's lost items.
These glasses look to be prescription. They are located in the Union School office. Please contact us if they are your child's.
