This past Friday and Saturday 22 USHS DECA students competed at the Ohio DECA State Career and Development Conference. At the conference USHS DECA was able to compete against over 100 other DECA chapters from across the state. USHS had 6 students qualify for finals where a top 5 finish in the team/series events and a top 4 finish in written events would advance to the National Competition in Orlando Florida. Congratulations to our finalists and our National Qualifiers. If you see them in the hallway I'm sure they would appreciate the congratulations. The Quiz Bowl Team went 7-2 at the State Tournament this weekend and finished in fourth place. We had a very good day and the tournament went smoothly. Our next competition is the Small School National Tournament in Chicago in late April.

Caleb Clary qualified for the OHSAA Division II State Wrestling Tournament by finishing 4th in the district tournament (132 pounds) on Saturday at Norwalk High School. Caleb will compete in the state tournament on Friday, March 10 at the Schottenstein Center at OSU. Congratulation to Caleb and good luck at state!

The Northern 10 Athletic Conference member schools will charge admission for all N10 high school and middle school weekday meets again this year. Admission for HS meets will be $6 for adults and senior citizens. Admission for MS meets will be $5. USHS and USMS all-sports passes will be accepted for all home track meets except for the Swankhouse Track Invitational. Any questions, please email Brad Ehrman (AD) at brad_e@usevs.org.

February 28, 2023 - ACT Test for ALL juniors and a remote day for Freshmen, Sophomores, and Seniors. All juniors need to arrive by 7:45a and enter at the north (gym) entrance for testing to begin at 8 AM. Please bring a photo ID, calculator, and a couple #2 pencils. Please let guidance know if you have any issues with any of these items. Your room assignments have been posted. Junior sentinel students will not be expected to attend tomorrow afternoon as the test will not be over until noon. All other students will have a remote learning day with an attendance question and an assignment from each of their classes that will be due by 3pm. Senior Sentinel students WILL be expected to attend their regular schedule at Sentinel. If you have any further questions, please contact Miss Wade in the guidance dept.
