Dear Parents:
We just wanted to let you know that there was malfunctioning heater in Ms. Faeth's (3rd grade classroom). It was discovered before students were in the building. The custodial staff are working on fixing the heater. We have moved the students to another classroom until it's fixed and the classroom is ready for students to return.
Sincerely,
Dr. Watson, Mrs. Parrott and Mr. Dible

Ram Nation, are you looking for a way to support USHS athletics? Do you want a chance to win some money? If you said yes to both of these questions, then we have an awesome opportunity for you to do both. The USHS Athletic Department in conjunction with the Rams Athletic Boosters is excited to introduce the Jackpot Ball Drop. The way it works is simple: buy a ball, get entered, and wait for the big drop. Once a ball is purchased, it will get numbered and put into the bag. Once all the balls have been sold, they will be dropped at the conclusion of one of our home basketball games. The ball that lands closest to the center court mark will win $500! It’s that simple. There are 100 balls available for purchase and each ball is $20 a piece and can be purchased at the USHS main office any time during the school day. The contest will end as soon as all balls are purchased. Don’t miss out on this great opportunity to support USHS athletics and win some cash at the same time. Please contact the USHS Athletic Department if you have any questions. Thanks in advance for your continued support. RAM PRIDE!

CONGRATULATIONS to Seniors Hope Morris and Abe Baldwin for being named the All-Heart Athletes of the Month for October. Both Hope and Abe were nominated and voted on by their peers and community for the many great characteristics they display on and off the field of play. These two give everything they have to their team and their school and exemplify all of the attributes that make them the All-Heart Athletes of the Month and an important part of Ram Nation. Here is a summary of what people had to say about Hope and Abe:
Hope’s enthusiasm and positivity is evident in everything she does, including school, sports, band and extracurricular activities. Her determination, hard-work and boundless energy helped her achieve her cross country goal of N-10 Champion, a 5th place finish at the DII District Cross Country Meet, Regional Qualifier and earned her 4th place on the USHS Cross Country All-Time Leader Board with a time of 19:37. Hope is a natural leader and exceptional role model for her teammates and peers. Her support and encouragement have led the cross country team to a successful season as both individuals and as a team. Those who know Hope describe her as self-confident, unique, lovely, energetic, driven, optimistic, humble and faithful. Her teammates and friends feel lucky to know her and USHS and the Athletic Department are proud of Hope and her accomplishments and feel she is very deserving of the All-Heart Athlete of the Month Award.
Abraham has shown overall HEART in cross country, but especially Ambition. Through freshman, sophomore, junior, and senior year, Abraham’s PRs were 22:33, 18:47, 18:04, and 17:11, respectively. Abraham is resilient, overcoming adversity in athletics and in life. He isn’t just a great leader, but a great example of how everyone should act towards other people. Abraham respects those around him, and he is said to be a “class act.” He is a consistent young man when it comes to discipline, and he has set a great example for those who are younger than him. Abraham is a wonderful example of someone who shows HEART in all that he does, and we are proud to have him in our community.
These two athletes are truly great selections for our first All-Heart Athlete of the Month award! Congratulations again to our All-Heart Athletes of the Month for October. Thank you, Hope and Abe, for representing our community through school and through athletics in a great way. We appreciate your boldness to show HEART in all that you do!

Congratulations to our Staff of the Month winners for October. The Classified staff winner is Mrs. Cunningham, who has shown great Adaptability during this school year. The Certified staff winner is Mrs. Cameron who was nominated for making all students feel valued and a part of her class and helping them to enjoy their experience in Art class.

CONGRATULATIONS to Senior Addy Newman on establishing not one but TWO new volleyball records this season. Addy now has the record for aces in a season with 73 and ends her USHS career with 206 career aces which is also tops on the list. The USHS community is extremely proud of Addy's athletic accomplishments but even more proud of how she represents our school and community off the court. Congrats again Addy on a memorable career.
Additionally, the USHS Athletic Department would like to send out a very special CONGRATULATIONS to Junior Ethan Lewis who broke the Northern 10 conference record for most tackles in a single season this year. Ethan's 177 tackles on the season eclipsed the previous record of 171 set back in 2014. What an amazing and well deserved title for one of USHS' finest student-athletes. The USHS community is extremely proud of Ethan's athletic accomplishments but even more proud of how he represents our school and community off the field.
