CONGRATULATIONS to the USHS Varsity Boys Cross Country team who finished as runners-up out of 17 teams at Saturday's Ontario Invitational. Leading the Runnin' Rams was Junior Henry Minehart who placed 13th out of 118 runners with a time of (17:51.88) and Sophomore Andrew Leightey who was 17th with a time of (18:01.61).

The Lady Rams were 4th out of 16 teams. Leading the Lady Rams was Junior Jocelyn Leightey who finished 8th out of the 142 runner field in a time of (20:45.31) and Freshman Madison Miles who was 16th in a time of 21:24.23.

Another great performance by our Varsity Cross Country teams who will be back in action next Saturday at the Old Fort Invite.

USHS Picture retakes for IDs and the yearbook will be Monday, September 22nd. (It had to be rescheduled due to the cancellation earlier this week.) The photographer will be taking pictures from 8:30a - 1:15p. Any students or staff who did not have their picture taken on orientation day must have it taken Monday to receive IDs. GOLFER OF THE YEAR ALERT!

One final CONGRATULATIONS goes out to Freshman Toby Holman who was named the N10 Golfer of the Year at yesterday's N10 Championship. Toby had an incredible season with a 38.75 average and scoring over 150 points on the year. Toby's accomplishment adds his name to the long list of USHS golfers who have earned the league's highest honor and also continues USHS's streak of golfer of the year winners (5 straight years). Ram Nation is so proud of Toby's accomplishments but even more proud of how he represents our school and community on and off the course. Congratulations Toby!

The USHS Athletic Department would also like to send another very special CONGRATULATIONS to the USHS Varsity Girls Golf team for their 2nd place league finish. The Lady Rams completed their historic regular season with a 2nd place finish at the league tournament Tuesday at Woody Ridge GC. The ladies finished the season with a 10-2 record and earned 30 points on the season. This marks the best finish for the Lady Rams in program history! Several Lady Rams also took home All-N10 honors. Freshman Jillian Stansbery earned 1st Team All-N10 honors (46 average). Fellow Freshman Cece Alspach earned earned 2nd Team All-N10 honors (54 average). While Juniors Avi Niederkohr and Addison Niederkohr earned 2nd Team All-N10 honors (49.75 average and 51.07 average). Senior Alayna Huff earned Honorable Mention honors (54.12 average). Congratulations to the Lady Rams Golf team and Coach Newell for their fantastic season and good luck in the postseason which begins next week at Valley View GC.

The USHS Athletic Department would like to send a very special CONGRATULATIONS to the USHS Varsity Boys Golf team for their 2nd place league finish. The Rams completed their regular season schedule with the league tournament yesterday at Woody Ridge GC. The boys finished the season with a 38-4 record with an accumulated 46 points. The Rams also took home several All-N10 honors. Freshman Toby Holman earned 1st Team All-N10 honors (150.5 points). Senior Arden Stansbery earned 2nd Team All-N10 honors (69.00 points). Sophomores Sam Gibson and Levi Swavel earned 2nd Team All-N10 honors (80 points and 76.50 points). Junior Seth Smith earned 2nd Team all-N10 honors (74.50 points) while fellow Junior Gage Thiel earned Honorable Mention honors (40.50 points). Congratulations to the Rams Golf team and Coach Treadway for their fantastic season and good luck in the postseason which begins next week at Moose Landing GC.

The USHS Athletic Department would like to wish our Varsity Boys and Girls Golf teams GOOD LUCK as they swing for an N10 Championship this week. The Lady Rams will be in action tomorrow at Woody Ridge GC as they try to win their first N10 title in school history. Tee time begins at 9:00 AM.

The Rams will attempt to reclaim their N10 crown on Wednesday at Woody Ridge GC. Tee time is also at 9:00 AM. Good luck to both teams. Ram Nation is rooting for you.

CONGRATULATIONS goes out to the USHS Lady Rams Cross Country team who were runners-up at the Stars, Stripes, Lights Meet hosted by Seneca East. The field consisted of 18 teams and 212 runners. Pacing the Lady Rams was Junior Jocelyn Leightey who turned in a 10th place finish with a time of 20:14.49. Fellow Junior Abigail Ault also cracked the top 20 with a 14th place finish in a time of 20:37.38. Another great performance logged by our Runnin' Lady Rams.

The boys team finished 6th out of 21 teams and were led by Sophomores Franklin Arnold and Andrew Leightey who finished 26th and 27th out of 227 runners respectfully (17:17.02 and 17:19.44). Both teams will be back in action on Saturday at the Galion Invite.
