The USHS Athletic Department would like to extend a very special CONGRATULATIONS to Senior wrestler Abe Baldwin who earned his 100th career win this past Saturday at the River Valley Bender Duals. Wrestling season is short and the opportunities for wins are limited which makes this accomplishment even more impressive. This is a truly awesome milestone for one of USHS's best student-athletes. Ram Nation is extremely proud of Abe's accolades but even more proud of how he represents our school and community off the wrestling mat. Congratulations again Abe!

Action Needed! Meal charge notifications were sent to parent emails. All charges must be paid ! Cash or check (made out to USEVS Foodservice) can be sent to school or use the online payment system PaySchools. The goal of the school meal programs is to provide nutritious meals to children during the school day. Children may receive breakfast and lunch at no cost to them if they are categorically eligible for free meals or if they qualify for free meals based on federal poverty guidelines. Sometimes, however, children who do not qualify based on these standards would like a breakfast or lunch, but do not have money in their account or in-hand to cover the cost of the meal at the time of the meal service. We are happy to provide a meal to these students, however the viability of our foodservice department is dependant on receiving payment for all meals served to students. Please check your email for meal charge notification. Please send payment as soon as possible!

ATTENTION: The fifth installment of the "All Heart Athlete of the Month" voting is now open to Ram Nation. The USHS Athletic Department is once again excited and proud to promote this very special recognition for our amazing student-athletes. The All-Heart Athlete of the Month is a great way to show some love and recognition for our student-athletes and what they do on and off the field of play. The way this will work is that every month, students at USHS will get the chance to nominate a student-athlete that they feel embodies all of the elements of the AHAOTM. Those elements include Hard work, Enthusiasm, Ambition, Responsibility, and Thoughtfulness. These elements are further described in the documents tab of our district website for your reference. Once the students have made their nominations, the field is narrowed down to the top three by vote of the staff at USHS. These top three male and female athletes are then sent to you, Ram Nation, for your vote. You can vote for one male and female student-athletes using the Google Form attached to this post. The final tally will result in who is crowned the All-Heart Athlete of the Month. If you have any questions about this process please contact the USHS Athletic Department and we will be happy to assist you. The voting will end on Sunday, February 2nd at midnight so please get your votes in by that deadline. Thanks in advance for your participation in this special recognition.

Dear parents, guardians & staff members,
We have had a few instances in the Union parking lot where some significant safety concerns have been raised. For this reason starting immediately the following will be implemented:
1. During AM and PM bus pickup absolutely no vehicles will be allowed to enter or exit the large parking lot. Once buses are in the parking lot all vehicles are to be parked until the buses leave. Parking is available at the smaller lot next to the football fields (corner of Hazel & Finley) if you need to leave early or pick up a student.
2. All students are to cross only at designated crosswalks. There should be no students or adults walking through the parking lots unless they are making their way to a bus.
Please communicate this information to anyone picking up your child from school. We realize that this is a big change for the Union parking lot but it is necessary. It is being done in an effort to make sure no accidents occur. Student safety remains one of our top priorities. Thank you in advance for your attention to this issue.
Dr. Watson, Mrs. Parrot, Mr. Dible

TODAY IS THE DAY!!! 6pm-7:30pm in Union Library!!! Chance to win a grocery store gift card.
