Parents,
This is Mrs. Parrott and Mr. Dible from Upper Sandusky Middle School. During our fire inspection by the state fire marshal, we were notified that the building fire alarm system was not functioning properly. This afternoon local fire officials inspected our building. They met with us to let us know how we can temporarily put safety procedures in place until the system is repaired while staying in session. School personnel will be doing a visual inspection in every part of the building every 30 minutes to ensure everyone's safety. This will also include after-school and extracurricular activities. These inspections will be documented and the state fire marshall will be visiting to make sure all procedures are being followed properly. Your child's safety and the safety of our staff are a top priority to us. We will provide updates as we get more information.
