Dear Parents:
We just wanted to let you know that there was malfunctioning heater in Ms. Faeth's (3rd grade classroom). It was discovered before students were in the building. The custodial staff are working on fixing the heater. We have moved the students to another classroom until it's fixed and the classroom is ready for students to return.

Ram Nation, are you looking for a way to support USHS athletics? Do you want a chance to win some money? If you said yes to both of these questions, then we have an awesome opportunity for you to do both. The USHS Athletic Department in conjunction with the Rams Athletic Boosters is excited to introduce the Jackpot Ball Drop. The way it works is simple: buy a ball, get entered, and wait for the big drop. Once a ball is purchased, it will get numbered and put into the bag. Once all the balls have been sold, they will be dropped at the conclusion of one of our home basketball games. The ball that lands closest to the center court mark will win $500! It’s that simple. There are 100 balls available for purchase and each ball is $20 a piece and can be purchased at the USHS main office any time during the school day. The contest will end as soon as all balls are purchased. Don’t miss out on this great opportunity to support USHS athletics and win some cash at the same time. The calendar has flipped to November and that means it is winter sports season at USHS and USMS. Our winter sport student-athletes and coaches are busy preparing for the upcoming season and we are excited to cheer them on this winter. Believe it or not, we have started some events already so here is a preview of what's coming up this week in sports:

To help us celebrate our winter sports athletes, coaches, and teams, the USHS Athletic Department and the USHS Student Athlete Leadership Team will be hosting a "Meet the Teams Night" on Friday, November 22nd in the USHS gymnasium starting at 7:00 PM. This mini Ram Rumble style event will be open to the community with concessions, games, and interactions with the USHS winter sports athletes. So bring the family out for this event and help us get our winter sports season started with enthusiasm. If you have any questions about this event, please contact the USHS Athletic Department. Just a friendly reminder about our Veteran's Day program tomorrow.
From USEVS: On Monday, November 11th our entire school district is having a Veterans Day assembly program at the high school. Non high school students will be bussed to USHS starting around 8.00am. The assembly will be student-led and K-12 students will sing songs, read essays and thank veterans for their service to our country. Students will start to be bussed back to their home schools starting at 10am. Elementary students (K-5) will be wearing the color blue while 6-8 will wear the color red and 9-12 will wear white. Thank you so much for your support of our district and veteran community.

Special thanks to Mr. Clark and Mrs. Wengerd (Prospira) for bringing a fire extinguisher simulator for 4th and 5th grade students to practice using a fire extinguisher. Thank you!!

GOOD LUCK tonight to our Rams Football team as they head into playoff action at Sandusky Perkins. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 PM. There will be a police and fire truck escort leaving the athletic complex at 3:30 PM this afternoon if anyone would like to come out and support the team as they head off.
For those planning on attending tonight's game. Please use 3700 South Avenue as your destination. Reminder that tickets for the game can be purchased online (recommended) at www.ohsaa.org/tickets or they may be purchased at the door (CASH ONLY). Ticket prices are set by the OHSAA at $11 adult/$5 student (K-12).
For those unable to attend tonight but still want to root on your Rams from afar, the game will be broadcast on 100.9 Coast Country and livestreamed on YouTube using this link https://www.youtube.com/live/BTewclnm8aY?feature=shared.
The boys need our support tonight so let's show them how proud we are of their accomplishment by filling the stands with Orange and Black tonight. Go Rams!

Reminder: Luggage check in for the 8th Grade Gettysburg PA/Washington DC Trip is tonight from 4:00-6:00 in the Middle School Cafeteria.
The final HALF PRICE STUDENT ticket sale of the year will take place tomorrow. These tickets will be for admission to Friday night's regular season finale against Buckeye Central. The price of these tickets will be $3.00 ($7.00 at the gate) and can be purchased at the high school main office tomorrow from 8:00 AM-2:00 PM. If you have any questions, please contact the athletic department.
Finally, we will be recognizing our USHS Cheer Clinic participants as well as our youth football camp participants at tomorrow night's game. Wear your cheer clinic shirt or your camp shirts and you will be admitted free of charge. Please enter the game through the pass gate in order to prevent congestion at the ticket gate. We look forward to seeing a packed house at the stadium tomorrow night. Go Rams!

As we near the end of another terrific fall sports season at USHS, the athletic department would like to take this opportunity to say THANK YOU to all of our event help and any individuals who have volunteered their time in any capacity to make our fall sports contests a success. From the ticket takers, PA announcers, scorekeepers, custodians, game security, concessions, and anyone else who played a part in helping this season, we sincerely appreciate your help. So if you see any of these individuals at any sporting event, please tell them THANK YOU. You are appreciated.

Please be aware that the District, either directly or through a technology provider, is electing to generally monitor all school-issued devices (as that term is defined by R.C. 3319.325). The monitoring will include the following features: student interactions with school-issued devices (e.g., email communications and web-browsing activity). The District generally monitors these features for the noncommercial education purpose of instruction, technical support, exam proctoring, and/or as required by the Children’s Internet Protection Act (CIPA) enacted by the US Congress in 2000. Additionally, these features are generally monitored as a necessary precaution for preventing and/or responding to threats to life or safety.
Please note that the District has NOT implemented any new or changed monitoring services. This notice is a new requirement per Ohio Senate Bill 29 (“SB29”) that was passed by the Ohio General Assembly at the end of June 2024, was signed by Governor DeWine on July 24, 2024, and becomes effective on October 24, 2024.
