USHS students and staff spent the past five weeks reading a mystery novel together. The book "Truly Devious" features a two-part murder mystery set in the 1930s and the present day at a boarding school in Vermont. Today, students had the opportunity to have a question-and-answer session with the author, Maureen Johnson. She shared background about her novels and the writing process, along with tips for students who want to become writers. Students and staff also participated in a scavenger hunt for clues. Johnson donated signed copies of her novels, which were awarded from a raffle of students who attended the author talk or completed the scavenger hunt.
