The Lady Rams Bowling team made history again yesterday by winning the school's first ever DII Sectional Championship at Bowlero Lanes in Fostoria! The Lady Rams faced some stiff competition and battled through some adversity but in the end, they were able to edge out Liberty-Benton for the Sectional crown: 3232 to 3173. The ladies were paced by Freshman Melanie Bowen who bowled a 536 three game series. The Lady Rams will now move on to the DII District Championships held at Interstate Lanes in Rossford on Tuesday, February 17 at 10:00 AM. The historical run continues for these ladies. Good luck next week as they aim for a State Tournament bid.

CONGRATULATIONS goes out to Senior Afton G. who qualified for the OHSAA DII District Bowling Tournament at yesterday's DII Sectional Tournament hosted by Bowlero Lanes in Fostoria. Afton bowled a 557 three game series to finish 15th individually and qualify for the District competition next Thursday, February 19th at Interstate Lanes in Rossford. The Rams finished 7th overall as a team which officially ended their season. Congratulations to Afton and Coach Carroll for this accomplishment. Ram Nation is proud of you. Good luck at Districts.

Reminder that each individual sport will hold a parents meeting at a designated time and place that all prospective student-athletes and parents are highly encouraged to attend so you can get important information from the coaches about the upcoming season. Here is a list of the meeting dates/times/locations for your reference:

The USHS Athletic Department would like to send a huge CONGRATULATIONS to Senior Josh H. who officially signed his letter of intent on Monday to continue his baseball career at Heidelberg University next season. One of USHS's most versatile student-athletes, Josh has the opportunity to excel at the collegiate level and we are excited to watch him continue to shine as a Student Prince. Ram Nation is extremely proud of Josh's athletic accomplishments but even more proud of how he represents our school and community off the field of play. CONGRATULATIONS to the USHS Lady Rams Bowling team who were champions of the NOBL Tournament Championship this past Saturday at Bowlero Lanes in Fostoria. The Lady Rams were paced by Freshman Melanie Bowen who was 1st place overall with a score of 528. Sophomore Brynn Routzahn was 3rd place overall with a 512 score. Another weekend, another piece of hardware for the Lady Rams. The Lady Rams will be in action today at home against New Riegel at 4:00 PM.
