SECTIONAL CHAMPS!

For the first time in program history, the USHS Boys Soccer team has punched their ticket to the OHSAA District Tournament. With a 3-0 victory over visiting Port Clinton, the Rams move on to the DIV District Semi-finals next week at Shelby High School. The Rams will play on Tuesday, October 21st at 7:30 PM against the top seeded Edison Chargers. Their game will be the second of a double header. Tickets for this event are on sale now at https://www.ohsaa.org/tickets or they can be purchased at the gate with CASH or CREDIT. Tickets are $10 Adult/$5 Students (K-12). Congratulations again to our boys soccer team for this historical accomplishment and good luck at Districts!

CONGRATULATIONS goes out to several members of the USHS Girls Soccer team who earned All-Conference honors this season. Juniors Shiloh Shasteen and Erica Ruhlen were both named 1st Team All-NCOSA. Junior Ava Romich and Freshman Lily Walton earned 2nd Team All-NCOSA honors while Sophomores Norah McClain and Carly Boes garnered Honorable Mention honors. Great recognition for some of USHS's best student-athletes! Ram Nation is extremely proud of these ladies' athletic accomplishments but even more proud of how they represent our community on and off the pitch. Congratulations again ladies.

BACK TO BACK N10 CHAMPIONS!!!!

CONGRATULATIONS to the USHS Varsity Girls Cross Country team who repeated as N10 Champions on Saturday at Seneca East High School. The Runnin' Lady Rams were paced by five all league honorees and finished the day with 27 points, well ahead of runner-up Seneca East (45). Leading the Lady Rams was Junior Jocelyn Leightey who earned 1st Team All-N10 honors with a 2nd place finish overall (20:16.23). She was followed closely by Freshman Madison Miles (20:48.95) who also earned 1st Team honors. Juniors Abigail Ault and Shiloh Shasteen also earned 1st Team honors by placing 6th and 7th respectively (21:04.25 and 21:14.65). Sophomore Macie Clark rounded out the All-League performances by earning 2nd team honors with a 9th place finish (21:32.94). Another fantastic season for the Lady Rams capped off by another N10 title!

The USHS Rams Cross Country team also had a great afternoon and were crowned N10 Runners-Up for the second straight year. The Rams scored 49 points finishing just behind Colonel Crawford for the top spot. Earning 1st Team All-N10 honors were Sophomores Carter Pohlman and Andrew Leightey who finished 5th and 6th respectively (16:58.04 and 17:11.25). Junior Henry Minehart and Sophomore Franklin Arnold earned 2nd Team honors by finishing 12th and 14th (17:32.55 and 17:33.18). Junior Bryce Weyand rounded out the All-League performances by finishing 19th (18:24.33) and earning Honorable Mention honors.

Congratulations again to our USHS Cross Country teams on a fantastic season. Both teams look to continue this momentum into the DIII District Championships this Saturday at Galion's Amann's Reservoir. Race time starts at 11:30 AM.

USHS/USMS CROSS COUNTRY POSTSEASON INFORMATION

The USHS/USMS Boys and Girls Cross Country teams will be in action tomorrow at the N10 Championships hosted by Seneca East High School. The HS boys will run at approximately 10:00 AM with the HS girls running at 10:40 AM. The JH boys will run at 11:20 AM followed by the JH girls at 11:50 AM. Awards will take place at approximately 12:30 PM. Admission for this event will be $5.00 per person. There will also be T-shirts available for purchase for $15.

Additionally, the Varsity Cross Country teams will be in action the following Saturday, October 18 at the DIII District Championships at Amann's Reservoir in Galion. The address for this venue is SR 309 and 61, Galion, OH 44833. Tickets for this event will be available for purchase online on 10/15 at https://www.ohsaa.org/tickets or by using the HomeTown Fan App. NO TICKETS WILL BE SOLD AT THE GATE. Ticket prices are $10 Adult/$5 Student (K-12). No other passes will be accepted. The Lady Rams will run at approximately 11:30 AM with the Rams following at approximately 12:15 PM.

GIRLS SOCCER
The Lady Rams will travel to St. Mary's Memorial on Monday, October 13th for their DIV Sectional Semifinal game. Game time is scheduled for 7:15 PM. The address for this event is 1301 W. High St., St. Mary's, OH 45885. Upper Sandusky High School has been selected as one of the high school sports programs to receive funds from the 2025 McDonald’s High School Sports Digital Fundraiser! Local area McDonald’s restaurants will be raising money for local high school sports programs. The USHS Athletic Department would like to send a very special CONGRATULATIONS to Junior Shiloh Shasteen who earned her 100th point of her soccer career over the weekend. Shiloh, a dual-sport student-athlete, registered a goal and an assist at Ft. Jennings on Saturday which puts her at #6 all time with 102 points (45 goals, 12 assists). She also becomes only the 8th player in Lady Rams Soccer history to reach the 100 point mark. What an amazing accomplishment for Shiloh as only a Junior. Ram Nation is so proud of Shiloh's athletic accomplishments but even more proud of how she represents our community on and off the pitch. Congratulations again Shiloh!

USHS TOURNAMENT INFORMATION

Freshman Toby Holman golfs in the DII District Tournament on Tuesday, September 30th with a scheduled tee time of 9:30 AM on Hole #10 at Maumee Bay Golf Course. Tickets for this event are on sale at https://www.ohsaa.org/tickets and are $10 Adult/$5 Students (K-12). It is recommended that you purchase tickets beforehand as tickets may not be sold at the course.

The Lady Rams Tennis team will be in action on Thursday, October 2nd in the OHSAA DII Sectional Tournament at Shelby High School. Competition begins at 9:00 AM. Tickets for this event go on sale Wednesday, October 1st and can be purchased at https://www.ohsaa.org/tickets. Tickets are $10 Adult/$5 Student (K-12). It is recommended that you purchase tickets beforehand as tickets may not be sold at the gate.

CONGRATULATIONS goes out to the USHS Varsity Boys Cross Country team who finished as runners-up at yesterday's Old Fort Invite. The boys had a team score of 88 to finish just behind New Riegel (73). Leading the boys squad was Henry Minehart who finished 11th (18:00) , Andrew Leightey was 12th (18:10), and Franklin Arnold was 15th (18:28).

The Lady Rams finished 6th with a team score of 173. The top runner for the Lady Rams was Jocelyn Leightey who was 4th with a time of 20:33.

Another good weekend for our Running Rams. Both teams will be back in action on Saturday at the Marion Harding Invite.

A huge CONGRATULATIONS goes out to Freshman Toby Holman for placing 3rd at yesterday's DII Sectional Golf Tournament at Moose Landing GC. Toby shot a two over par 74 and has qualified for next week's DII District Golf Championships held at Maumee Bay GC. With this performance, Toby becomes only the second Freshman EVER to qualify for the district tournament in USHS golf history. What an amazing accomplishment! Ram Nation is extremely proud of Toby's athletic accomplishments but even more proud of how he represents his community on and off the course. Good luck next week Toby. The USHS Lady Rams Varsity Volleyball team would like to invite Ram Nation to attend their annual Volley For a Cure game on Tuesday, September 30th starting at 5:30 PM as they host Colonel Crawford. There will be a 50/50 raffle, basket raffles, a bake sale, and a serving contest to help the team raise money for cancer research. All proceeds from this event will benefit the Wyandot Memorial Oncology Department. Let's pack the stands and show our support for fighters, survivors, and families affected by cancer. You are encouraged to wear PINK to the game and turn the gym into a sea of hope and encouragement.

CONGRATULATIONS to the USHS Varsity Boys Cross Country team who finished as runners-up out of 17 teams at Saturday's Ontario Invitational. Leading the Runnin' Rams was Junior Henry Minehart who placed 13th out of 118 runners with a time of (17:51.88) and Sophomore Andrew Leightey who was 17th with a time of (18:01.61).

The Lady Rams were 4th out of 16 teams. Leading the Lady Rams was Junior Jocelyn Leightey who finished 8th out of the 142 runner field in a time of (20:45.31) and Freshman Madison Miles who was 16th in a time of 21:24.23.

Another great performance by our Varsity Cross Country teams who will be back in action next Saturday at the Old Fort Invite.
