A reminder that the USHS boys basketball games with Buckeye Central postponed on December 23rd have been rescheduled for tonight at USHS. The jv game will begin at 6:00 p.m. followed by the varsity.
USHS winter sport parent/senior night will also be tonight. There will be a brief ceremony immediately following the jv game.
There will be NO CASH SALES for tickets for the USHS girls and boys basketball games at Carey this week. Tickets may be purchased online at www.careyschools.org and and clicking on Ticket Spicket. Tickets may also be purchased with a credit card at the gate the night of the game. No cash will be accepted at the door.
All USHS/USMS athletic events and practices have been cancelled for Friday, December 23rd due to the winter storm warning.
Due to the winter storm warning on Friday, the Buckeye Central-Upper Sandusky boys basketball games on Friday, December 23rd have been postponed and rescheduled for Thursday, January 5th, 6:00 p.m. at USHS. The USHS winter sport parent/senior night has also been moved to January 5th.
The Colonel Crawford-Upper Sandusky freshman boys basketball game scheduled for January 5th has been moved to Saturday, January 14th, 10:00 a.m. at USHS.
The USHS freshman boys basketball game at Bucyrus on Thursday, December 15th has been cancelled and will not be rescheduled.

USHS cross country runners Evan Hinesman finished 93rd (17:28) and Ashton Vent finished 112th (17:42) at the state cross country meet in a windy and physical race at Fortress Obetz. Both runners finished in the top 120 Division II runners in the state of Ohio.

Good luck to USHS cross country runners Ashton Vent and Evan Hinesman who will be competing in the OHSAA D-II State Cross Country Championship on Saturday, November 5th, 1:00 p.m. at Fortress Obetz. The USHS team bus will be leaving the USHS athletic complex on Saturday at 9:00 a.m. to head to Columbus. Community members, staff, students and friends are welcome to arrive around 8:45 a.m. to give them a "send off" and wish them good luck as they head to the state meet.

Congratulations to USHS runners Ashton Vent and Evan Hinesman on qualifying for the state cross country meet. Ashton finished 3rd (16:21) and Evan finished 14th (16:42) at the regional meet at Hedges-Boyer Park in Tiffin on Saturday.
The OHSAA Division II Boys Cross Country Championship will be held on Saturday, November 5th, 1:00 p.m. at Fortress Obetz and Memorial Park. Tickets will only be available online at ohass.org/tickets. No cash will be accepted at the gate.

USHS will be hosting a winter sports parent meeting on Monday, October
24, 7:00 p.m. in the USHS gym. Parents of all winter sport athletes are
expected to attend. There will be a general meeting in the USHS gym
beginning at 7:00 p.m. followed by the individual sport meetings for
basketball, cheerleading, swimming and wrestling.
A reminder that all parents and students must complete their athletic forms
online with Final Forms as well as have a current athletic physical on file in
order for a student to be able to practice. The Final Forms link is available
on the school website.
The USHS girls soccer team defeated Ada 5-1 to advance to the sectional finals vs. Van Buren on Thursday at 5:00 p.m. at Van Buren High School.

The USHS volleyball team defeated Bucyrus 3-0 to advance to the sectional finals vs. Huron on Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. at Huron High School.

The USHS boys cross country team won the N10 team championship on Saturday by narrowly defeating rival Seneca East 62-63. The USHS girls team finished in 2nd place behind league champion Colonel Crawford.

USHS golfer Liv Gier placed 23rd in the OHSAA Division II State Golf Tournament this past weekend. Liv shot a two-day score of 171 on the OSU Gray Course.

The USHS varsity girls soccer team will play Fort Jennings on Saturday, October 15, 11:00 a.m. at Fort Jennings High School.
Anyone interested in getting their car painted by the cheerleaders should come to the parking lot by the softball fields Wednesday from 4:30-6:00 or Thursday from 6:30-7:30. Donations will be accepted and given to local charities.
Liv Gier shot an 82 at the D-2 district golf tournament yesterday at Sycamore Springs G.C. to earn a spot in this year's state tournament. Liv will compete in the OHSAA state championships at the OSU Golf Club (Gray Course) on October 14 and 15.

All USHS boys basketball reserved seat ticket holders will be receiving a letter in the mail giving them the opportunity to purchase tickets again this year. Reserved seat holders will be able to purchase the same seats as last year. Please complete the order form, attach a check and send to the USHS Office (800 N. Sandusky Ave.) by Fri., October 21st. Tickets will be mailed to you in November. Applications are now being accepted for new reserved seat ticket orders. Good seats are still available.
