ATTENTION ALL RAM AND LADY RAM SPORTS FANS! All-Sports passes for the 2024-2025 school year will go on sale starting Monday, July 22nd. Reserved seating for the home football games as well as Endzoner Club seating will also be available for purchase starting Monday. You can purchase these passes and tickets at the USHS athletic office between 8:00 AM-3:00 PM throughout the week or you can download, complete, and return the forms on the USEVS website under the "Athletics" tab. Also, the USHS Athletic Department will once again be sponsoring a Kick for Cash event at halftime of every home football game this season. Tickets for the first drawing will also be available for purchase starting Monday. Finally, Endzoner Club sponsorships are now available for any of the home football games. If you are interested in sponsorship, please stop by the USHS Athletic Office to pickup a form or visit the USHS Athletics website. Ram and Lady Ram athletic community, In our continued effort to remain transparent with our community about any proposed or planned changes to our athletic facilities, especially those that would affect any of our youth sport programs, the USHS athletic department would like to provide an update on some upcoming planned modifications to our existing athletic facilities. This summer, we will begin making modifications and renovations to our current varsity softball field. These modifications will include, new fencing, tiling, expansion of the current dugouts, and improvements to the existing backstop among other changes. We believe these modifications are necessary in order to ensure our varsity softball student-athletes have a safe, equitable, and improved facility to compete on. It is also important to note that all of these modifications, with the exception of the fencing to address safety concerns, are all being privately donated and will not be an additional cost to the district. Upon completion of these improvements, the USHS varsity softball program will continue to have exclusive usage of the field and the associated facilities during their season. The Upper Sandusky Youth Baseball organization will have access to the facilities upon completion of the varsity softball season. We believe this continued arrangement will benefit both our varsity and youth programs as we continue to share facilities and resources in order to ensure all of our student-athletes have access and enjoy their experiences with sports. Dear Ram and Lady Ram Athletics Community, The USHS athletic department and the Upper Sandusky Youth Soccer Board would like to take a moment to share a unified message to address some of the issues that have been the topic of discussion over the past week. First, WE would like to offer an apology for any misunderstanding or miscommunication that occurred. That was not intentional in any way and WE will work to improve this in the future. Next, WE want to thank everyone who shared their thoughts and opinions in a positive and meaningful manner. Your input, when shared responsibly, helps us guide our decisions about the direction of our sports programs. Secondly, although the conversations haven’t been productive or beneficial at times, WE are encouraged by the support shown by our community for our sports programs. Athletics are meant to be a positive and unifying force and WE are determined to rally our community through athletics. Ultimately, it’s our kids that WE are focused on and that is why WE believe this message is important. At this time, the discussion about a new softball facility has been moved to a long-term option that will continue to be investigated and communicated with the school district. Further discussions about this project will include transparent communication with all parties involved in a way that will ensure everyone has a voice in order to continue to provide athletic opportunities for all of our youth. Moving forward, WE are committed to working together for the benefit of our youth in all capacities. This includes sharing resources and facilities in order to make the athletic experiences of our youth the best it can be. But most importantly, WE want to establish open, honest, and positive communication with our community. WE also want to encourage our community members to do the same. If you have any questions or concerns about athletic programs, please contact the appropriate sources. Social media should be a place to celebrate the accomplishments of our athletic programs and not the place to raise concerns or spread negativity. It doesn’t help solve anything. Thank you all again for your continued support of our athletic programs and for helping us continue to focus on giving our kids the best that we can. The USHS Athletic Department is proud to recognize this year's Triple Crown Award winners. These student athletes participated in at least three sports this past school year and helped make a significant impact on our Ram athletic programs. The Triple Crown club is an exclusive group and these student athletes have the passion, determination, drive, and work ethic to make contributions to their respective teams and sports. Attention USHS and USMS student athletes. There are still times available to get your son/daughter's physicals scheduled this summer. Wyandot Memorial Hospital is once again offering sports physicals for all USHS and USMS students who are planning on playing fall sports this upcoming season. The dates for these physicals are June 3-5 from 3:00 - 6:00 PM by APPOINTMENT ONLY and the cost is $20 with all proceeds going directly to the USHS Ram Booster Club. OHSAA BASEBALL DISTRICT TOURNAMENT UPDATE This afternoon's district semifinal baseball game at Bluffton University there WILL NOT ACCEPT CASH for tickets. Therefore, all tickets MUST be purchased digitally at https://www.ohsaa.org/tickets. If you have any questions or need assistance, please contact the USHS athletic office. OHSAA TOURNAMENT INFORMATION The USHS Varsity Baseball team will be competing in the OHSAA DII District Semifinal against Clear Fork tomorrow afternoon at 2:00 PM at Bluffton University. The best address for the stadium is 255 N. Bentley Road, Bluffton, OH 45817. Tickets for this event can be purchased online at https://www.ohsaa.org/tickets or at the gate. Prices are $8 adult/$5 student and no passes will be accepted. There will also be a $5 charge for parking at the game as well. DEADLINE APPROACHING This is a friendly reminder that the nomination deadline for the USHS 2024 Hall of Fame Class is this Friday, May 24th. Candidates must be a graduate of USHS, a former coach at USHS, or an administrator at USHS and must have distinguished themselves through their athletic or administrative accomplishments, exploits, and achievements while at USHS and beyond. Please note that a nomination does not mean induction but all nominations will be kept on file to be considered for future years. If you would like to nominate a candidate for induction, please complete the nomination form found in the attached link or you can complete a paper copy of the nomination form at the high school athletic office. The 2024 USHS Hall of Fame class will be formally inducted at the home varsity football game on August 30th. USHS ATHLETICS UPDATE: There has been a last minute addition to the USHS Varsity Baseball schedule. The team will play tonight at Liberty-Benton starting at 5:00 PM. This will be a regular season game and a tune-up game for the team before they compete in their District Semifinal game on Thursday. Ram Pride!

CONGRATULATIONS goes out to our USHS Varsity Rams Baseball team for their big tournament victory over Galion on the road Saturday afternoon in the OHSAA DII Sectional Finals. After being rained out on Friday, the boys made the trip on Saturday and came home with a 3-1 win over the Tigers and a trip to Bluffton this week for the district semifinals. The Rams will now face the #1 seeded Clear Fork Colts on Thursday at 2:00 PM. The game will be played at Bluffton University's Memorial Field (255 N. Bentley Rd.). There will be a $5 fee for parking. CONGRATULATIONS also goes out to Super Senior Jenna Wenger who qualified for the OHSAA DII Regional Championships at Lexington High School later this week. Finally, a special CONGRATULATIONS to Iron Man Senior Holden Daris for his amazing tennis tournament run. Holden won his first match last Thursday at Port Clinton before falling in the second round. Holden finished one win shy of advancing to the state tournament but what an amazing career he has had.
