CONGRATULATIONS to our USMS Track and Field teams for finishing 2nd in yesterday's N10 Championships held at Bucyrus. The boys team finished 1 point behind CC for the top spot. There were several individual championship performances on the day including several new school records broken! Here are the top performers from last night:
Girls 4x100 relay - Karisanne Reile, Adriene Yeater, Jayden Richards, Ava Walton (54.88) (school record)
Girls 200 dash - Jillian Stansbery (27.71) (school record)
Boys PV - Ashton Clark (11'0") (school record)
Boys 4x800 relay - Carter Pohlman, Josh Craig, Andrew Leightey, Franklin Arnold (9:27.84)
Boys 4x200 relay - Ashton Clark, Ethan Smith, Eli Smith, Declan Pelfrey (1:44.98)

Wyandot Memorial Hospital is once again offering sports physicals for all USHS and USMS students who are planning on playing fall sports this upcoming season. The dates for these physicals are June 3-5 from 3:00 - 6:00 PM by appointment only and the cost is $20 with all proceeds going directly to the USHS Ram Booster Club. OHSAA TOURNAMENT INFORMATION:
The Lady Rams Varsity Softball team will host an OHSAA Division III Sectional Final game on Friday, May 10th at 5:00 PM. They will host the winner of Wynford/Edison. Tickets prices for this contest are $5/students and $8/adult and can be purchased online at https://www.ohsaa.org/tickets. There will be a cash only option available at the gate the day of the game and no league or USHS passes will be permitted at this contest. Please note that tickets for this contest are not yet available for purchase so please check back after Tuesday of next week.
The Varsity Boys Tennis team will also start their tournament run in the OHSAA Division II District Championships on Thursday, May 9th at Shelby High School. Ticket information is the same for this contest so please check back early next week.
The Rams and Lady Rams Varsity Track and Field teams will compete in the OHSAA Division II District Championships on Thursday, May 16th and Saturday, May 18th at Ontario High School. More information (including ticketing) about this contest will be available next week.
The Rams Varsity Baseball tournament draw is Sunday so more tournament information will be available next week.

USHS ATHLETIC EVENT CHANGE:
Due to the potential of heavy rain in the Toledo area, tonight's JV/V BB games have been postponed until Wednesday, May 1st at 5:00 PM. This reschedule date is VARSITY ONLY. All other contests for today are still on as scheduled.
Also, the V BB home game against Seneca East (originally scheduled for 4/17), has been rescheduled for Friday, May 10th at 5:00 PM.
Additionally, the V SB home game against Seneca East (originally scheduled for 4/17), has been rescheduled for Wednesday, May 8th at 5:00 PM.
Finally, both JV BB and SB away games against Seneca East (originally scheduled for 4/17), have been rescheduled for Wednesday, May 8th at 5:00 PM.

Nominations for the USHS 2024 Hall of Fame Class are being accepted through May 24th. Candidates must be a graduate of USHS, a former coach at USHS, or an administrator at USHS and must have distinguished themselves through their athletic or administrative accomplishments, exploits, and achievements while at USHS and beyond. Please note that a nomination does not mean induction but all nominations will be kept on file to be considered for future years. If you would like to nominate a candidate for induction, please complete the nomination form found in the attached link or you can complete a paper copy of the nomination form at the high school athletic office. The 2024 USHS Hall of Fame class will be formally inducted at the home varsity football game on August 30th. If you have any questions about this process, please contact Athletic Director Blake England.

BIG day in athletics as the Lady Rams Softball team travels to conference leading Mohawk to take on the Lady Warriors with first place on the line. First pitch is scheduled for 5:00 PM. JV will host Mohawk.
The Rams Baseball team will also look to claim a share of first place in the N10 as they take on the Warriors on the road. Also a 5:00 PM first pitch start. There will be NO JV game today.
The Ram Tennis team will also be in action this afternoon hosting Willard. 4:15 start for that one.

The Varsity Boys Tennis match scheduled for today against River Valley has been CANCELLED due to a change in schedule for River Valley. We are looking for a potential replacement date.
Also, the JV/V Baseball double header at home on Saturday will start at 11:00 AM. The shared events post earlier had the start time at 5:00 PM. Sorry for the confusion.

USHS ATHLETIC EVENT REMINDER:
This is a friendly reminder that the V SB team will be participating in the Mid-Ohio Spring Classic at Marshall Park in Ontario this weekend. Their first game is tonight at 6:30 PM against Hillsdale and the game can be livestreamed on the OH Report. The Lady Rams will play again tomorrow at either 9:00 AM or 11:00 AM (depending on the outcome of tonight's game) as well as 3:00 PM. Come out and root on our 7-2 Lady Rams!
The JV SB team will also be in action tonight at Madison with a 5:00 PM first pitch.
Tomorrow is also our 21st Annual Swankhouse Track and Field Invite. Field events start at 9:30 AM with running events beginning at 10:30 AM. Come check out the action as our USHS Trackletes compete for "Top Dog" honors!
Finally, our Varsity Boys Tennis team will be in competition tomorrow at Sandusky Central Catholic with a 10:00 AM start time.

The OHSAA has designated this week as Officials Appreciation Week and the USHS Athletic Department would like to extend a very heartfelt THANK YOU to all of our local officials (OHSAA and others). Every year, these individuals attend clinics, participate in rules meetings and take tests in preparation for the season. During the season, these dedicated men and women take time away from their personal and work schedules and their families to provide our student-athletes the opportunity to play the games they love and contribute to the overall experience our student-athletes receive while participating in educational athletics. The Varsity Softball double header at Vanlue scheduled for tomorrow (4/13) has been CANCELLED due to unplayable field conditions. A makeup date is being explored.
The Varsity Boys Tennis tournament at Bucyrus (9:00 AM) and the Varsity Baseball game at Troy (12:00 PM) are still ON as of now. If anything changes, we will let you know ASAP.
