Due to an increase in classroom tardies, we will be implementing some changes to how we handle consequences moving forward. The goal is to get students out of the halls and into their respective classrooms.

We will begin the tiered, progressive discipline after 4 classroom tardies and it will go as follows.

4th Tardy- 1 Lunch Detentions

8th Tardy- 2 Lunch Detentions

10th Tardy- Submit Incident Report…Student Assigned 1 hour Tuesday/Thursday School

12th Tardy- Submit Incident Report…Student Assigned 2 hour Tuesday/Thursday School

15th Tardy- Submit Incident Report…Student Assigned 2 hour Saturday School

16+ Tardies will be assigned a 4 hour Saturday school for each offense

In an effort to decrease classroom tardies we are asking that teachers begin being more present during class exchanges and ushering kids to their next destination.

** This system is not period-based, but rather cumulative. That means if you are tardy to 2nd and 4th period that counts as 2 tardies, not just one for each class period.

What constitutes a Tardy?

“When the Bell Rings the Door Swings”  If a student is not on an e-Hallpass and arrives to class after the door has been shut, they will be counted tardy. If a student has placed their books on their desk and left without an approved e-Hallpass, and returns after the door is shut, they will be counted tardy.
