FFA Week

FFA Week is celebrated every year during the week of George Washington's birthday and is a week to celebrate what FFA is and does to develop agriculture's future leaders.  FFA has been around since 1928 with the Upper Sandusky FFA chapter chartered on January 19, 1937.  We will be celebrating FFA week beginning on Tuesday.  Feel free to celebrate with us!  Here are the plans:

Tuesday
Class Color Day - Freshmen BLUE, Sophomores BROWN, Juniors GREEN, and Seniors GOLD (blue for the National Blue FFA color, brown for our soil, green for plants, and gold for the Corn Gold FFA color), there should be no hats

Wednesday
America Day - wear patriotic-themed clothing to celebrate FFA across America, there should be no hats or flags unless printed on the clothing

Thursday
Bling vs. Camo Day - wear bling, camo, or both to celebrate the class and country that combine within FFA, there should be no hats
FFA Dessert Contest - FFA students will bring desserts for our first-ever dessert contest.  Teachers who volunteered to judge, I will be sending you a separate email sometime Friday with judging information.  All teachers, feel free to stop during Thursday's lunch to sample some of the desserts.  If students follow through there could be 35 different desserts.
State FFA President Visit - the State FFA President will be visiting all ag classes during the day.  It is an honor to have the State President visit your FFA chapter!

Friday
Tractor Day and Farmer Day - students will drive their tractors to school.  We will leave the complex about 7:40 to parade to the parking lot.  Please plan to arrive before the parade.  After parking, a group picture will be taken.  Students may be slightly late to 1st period.  Students may also wear Carhartt/bibs to class or dress like a stereotypical farmer on Friday, hats are permitted for this day.
