PUBLIC NOTICE -This notice serves as the District’s annual technology privacy notice consistent with Ohio Revised Code Sections 3319.325 - .327.- Please be aware that the District, either directly or through a technology provider, is electing to generally monitor all school-issued devices (as that term is defined by R.C. 3319.325). The monitoring will include the following features: student interactions with school-issued devices (e.g., email communications and web-browsing activity). The District generally monitors these features for the noncommercial education purpose of instruction, technical support, exam proctoring, and/or as required by the Children’s Internet Protection Act (CIPA) enacted by the US Congress in 2000. Additionally, these features are generally monitored as a necessary precaution for preventing and/or responding to threats to life or safety. Please note that the District has NOT implemented any new or changed monitoring services. This notice is a new requirement per Ohio Senate Bill 29 (“SB29”) that was passed by the Ohio General Assembly at the end of June 2024, was signed by Governor DeWine on July 24, 2024, and becomes effective on October 24, 2024.

This is a friendly reminder that students will not be at school this Friday (10/25) due to the end of the first nine weeks and it being a staff work day!

South School is excited to participate in Upper Sandusky Exempted Village Schools District wide special event. Veterans Day Celebration Monday, November 11th! See details below.

Join Upper Sandusky Schools in our Veterans Day Celebration happening Monday, November 11th at Upper Sandusky High School. All Veterans are invited to join us for breakfast from 8:15am to 9:00am. This will be followed by presentations and performances from our Kindergarten to 12th grade students from 9:00am to 10:00am. To confirm your attendance please call you local school: East Elementary at 419-294-2396 South Elementary at 419-294-2304 Union/Middle School at 419-294-5721 High School at 419-294-2308

The end of the first 9 weeks is Friday, October 25th and there will be NO SCHOOL for students, as this is scheduled as a teacher work day. Any questions, contact your child's school.

Parent/Teacher conferences will occur on Thurs., Nov. 7th from 3:20pm-7:40pm, and Fri., Nov. 8th from 8am-11am. There will be no schools for students on Fri., Nov. 8th. We will use our online scheduling portal, MyConferenceTime, to schedule ONLINE. The portal will open on Thurs., Oct. 17th and you can access using this URL: https://myconferencetime.com/usevs. If you cannot schedule online, please call your child's school and a secretary can schedule you over the phone. Also, if you have any questions, please contact your child's school.

Hey Parents! See the image below for two reasons why participating in school meals is a great idea! Nutrition and Time, two things we could all use more of!

USEVS Parents: Did you know that school meals are for ALL students? School nutrition departments receive federal funding for every eligible meal that they serve. So when more students participate, it keeps the program strong for families in need.

In accordance with Ohio Revised Code Sections 121.22, you are hereby notified that the Board of Education of the Upper Sandusky Exempted Village School District has called a Special Meeting of the Board of Education on Wednesday, September 4, 2024 at 4:00 p.m. in the Central Office Conference Room, 800 N. Sandusky Avenue, Suite A, Upper Sandusky Ohio 43351 . The purpose of the meeting is for the Board to consider personnel matters. The Board intends to immediately move into Executive Session per Section 121.22(G)(1).

A friendly reminder that there is NO SCHOOL on Mon., Sept. 2 - Labor Day, Mon., Sept. 9 - Fair Day, and Tues., Sept. 10 for students - Teacher PD Day! Please make a note of this!!

We are working with PowerSchool Support to resolve the issue of grades and attendance not getting populated in Parent Portal for students and parents. We will stay on top of this and hopefully have this fix as soon as possible. We appreciate your patience and understanding on this matter.

It's CRUNCH TIME for back to school! Time to get money on account for meals and complete a Free/Reduced meal application! Our district uses PaySchools Central for online meal payments which was new at the end of last school year. If you haven't set up an account yet or are new to the district now is a great time to get that done! And while you are there, complete an online Free/Reduced Meal Application for this school year, 24/25. Only one per family and it is secure and confidential! Mark your calendars...

All student Chromebooks have been activated/enabled for the start of the 2024-2025 school year.  You will need to connect the Chromebook to a Wi-Fi connection somewhere before the disabled message will go away on the login screen, as the unlock command/policy is "in the cloud".  After this, please attempt to log in to make sure the Chromebook is working properly.  If you have any issues, please bring the Chromebook to the high school (where the I.T. office is located) BEFORE the first day of school so we can take care of your issue(s). If a student has forgotten their login password, email me requesting a password refresh (daryl_h@usevs.org).
