Invitation to community meeting on Nov. 4 at 6 pm in the Union Middle School Auditorium

Upper Sandusky Exempted Village Schools invites all community members to a meeting on Wednesday, Nov. 4, to learn more about the district’s Facilities Master Planning process and hear the Facilities Advisory Committee’s recommendation for a long-range plan.

The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. in the Union Middle School Auditorium. Representatives from the Facilities Advisory Committee will provide an overview of the committee’s work and share its recommendation for a Master Facilities Plan.

The Facilities Advisory Committee includes approximately 80 community members, parents, employees and district leaders who have been studying the condition of district buildings and exploring options for addressing facility needs. The committee’s work considers building conditions, current and projected enrollment, and goals for student learning.

The Facilities Master Planning process is intended to help the district identify improvements needed to provide safe, comfortable learning environments while planning responsibly for the future. Community input is an important part of this work, and the Nov. 4 meeting will provide an opportunity for residents to learn about the committee’s findings and recommendation.

No decisions about facilities or financing will be made until the committee completes its work and the community has had opportunities to provide input.

All community members are encouraged to attend and take part in this important conversation about the future of Upper Sandusky Schools.
