Upper Sandusky Exempted Village Schools has earned a 4-star overall rating on the 2026 Ohio School Report Card, exceeding state standards across several key measures of student achievement and success.
The district earned 4 stars in Achievement, Gap Closing, Graduation, and College, Career, Workforce and Military Readiness. The results highlight the continued efforts of Upper Sandusky staff, students and families to support academic success and prepare students for opportunities beyond graduation.
The Achievement Component measures how well students performed on state tests, while the Gap Closing Component measures the reduction of educational gaps among student groups. The district’s 4-star ratings in both areas reflect its focus on strong academic outcomes and on ensuring students across the district have the support they need to succeed.
Upper Sandusky also earned 4 stars in Graduation, reflecting results that exceed state standards for the percentage of students graduating within four or five years. The district’s 4-star rating in College, Career, Workforce and Military Readiness demonstrates that students are exceeding state standards in their preparation for future opportunities.
“We are proud of the work represented in this year’s report card results,” said Superintendent Eric Landversicht. “A strong report card is the result of the hard work of our staff, students and families. These results give us an opportunity to celebrate the areas where our students and schools are exceeding state standards, while also reminding us that there is always room to grow. We will continue working to build on this progress and provide our students with the opportunities and support they need to succeed.”
The district also earned 3 stars in Early Literacy, which measures reading improvement and proficiency for students in kindergarten through third grade. Upper Sandusky received 2 stars in Progress, a component that measures the growth students are making based on their past performance. The district will continue to use report card data to identify opportunities for continued growth and improvement.
The 2026 results reflect the collective efforts of the Upper Sandusky Schools community and provide an opportunity to recognize the accomplishments of students and staff while looking ahead to the work still to come.
