The Sentinel Career & Technology Center serves the students of Upper Sandusky High School and surrounding schools. Students spend three hours per day at Sentinel and will receive three credits per year for their career program. The students will attend USHS for the remainder of each day, where they will receive their necessary academic instruction. Each home school will provide transportation to and from Sentinel. All USHS students attending Sentinel will be eligible for any and all extracurricular activities at their home school.
Sentinel students gain first-hand knowledge of real-life careers through paid and volunteer work experience, internships, mentoring, and other career-focused activities. Many courses at Sentinel are articulated with Terra Community College to grant college credits for successful completion. Programs are for juniors and seniors with the exception of Cosmetology and Career Explorations.
Students will graduate and receive a diploma from USHS. With successful completion of the Sentinel program, they will also receive an industry credential (except in Careers in Education and Independent Living).
