Buckeye Chuck

It is Groundhog Day and Buckeye Chuck is predicting six more weeks of winter. We have been fortunate with the weather so far this year, so if it is six more weeks of the winter we have had so far - I am OK with that!
Making weather-related decisions is tough, and it is made even tougher by the size of our district. Thankfully, I have two great people who are also out early in the morning driving other portions of the district - our transportation director, Kim, and our bus mechanic, Bob. I couldn't make those delay or cancellation calls without their input and years of experience. Even though delays and cancellations can be an inconvenience, we will always err on the side of safety. We have too many buses and high school students on the road to do otherwise.
I hope we will either continue having a mild winter or that Buckeye Chuck is wrong and we get an early spring. Just for fun, here is a link to some facts you may not know about groundhogs: http://blog.nwf.org/2011/01/10-things-you-may-not-know-about-groundhogs/
