January 2018 Student-Athletes
The Upper Sandusky Ram Athletic Boosters would like to congratulate USHS Students Ian and Niki for being selected as the Student-Athletes of the Month for January.
 
Ian is a senior at USHS and a member of the swim team.  His coach, Justin Richardson, nominated him for the following reasons:
  • Ian has been a volunteer for the Fantasy of Lights and helped organize a blood drive.
  • He has helped teach new swimmers their strokes at the stroke clinic prior to the start of the season.
  • Ian is always positive and has kept a great attitude the past two years recovering from surgery.
  • He is an excellent student finishing the first semester with a 4.0 GPA.

Niki is a senior at USHS and currently plays basketball.  Her coach, Brent Fahle, nominated her for the following reasons:

  •  Niki helped with Upward basketball evaluations and the Elks Hoop Shoot.
  • She is a senior leader on the team and her teammates look up to her.
  • Niki has a positive attitude and is willing to do anything for the team.
  • She is a tremendous student with a high GPA.

February 2018 Student-Athletes

The Upper Sandusky Rams Athletic Boosters would like to congratulate USHS students Trevor and Lillie for being selected as the Student-Athletes of the Month for February.

Trevor is a junior at USHS and a member of the basketball team. His coach, Jeff Winslow, nominated him for the following reasons:

  • Trevor has been a volunteer with Upward basketball evaluations and the Fairhaven visitation program.
  • He leads by example both on the basketball court and in the classroom.
  • Trevor is extremely coachable and has a positive attitude that is contagious.
  • He is an excellent student earning straight A’s.

Lillie is a senior at USHS and currently a basketball cheerleader. Her coach, Courtney Sebenoler, nominated her for the following reasons:

  • Lillie volunteers at Fairhaven and with Wyandot Equine Rescue.
  • She is a very strong leader by example and has a great work ethic.
  • Lillie never complains and doesn’t make excuses. She constantly gives her best effort to improve.
  • She is a tremendous student maintaining all A’s while taking rigorous college courses.

March 2018 Student-Athletes

2018 March Student-Athletes

The Upper Sandusky Rams Athletic Boosters would like to congratulate USHS students Connor and Abbey for being selected as the Student-Athletes of the Month for March.

Connor is a junior at USHS and a member of the baseball team. His coach, Scott Emerick, nominated him for the following reasons:

  • Connor volunteers as a Salvation Army Kettle Bell ringer and is always willing to work on the baseball field on his own time.
  • He leads by example and is always the first player to help out with anything.
  • Connor is one of the hardest workers on the baseball team and has a positive attitude.
  • He is a very good student earning mostly A’s and B’s.

Abbey is a junior at USHS and a member of the swim team. Her coach, Justin Richardson, nominated her for the following reasons:

  • Abbey volunteers at Fairhaven and has helped with the REACH program.
  • She is a leader during swim workouts and works with the younger swimmers.
  • Abbey is highly competitive, takes criticism well and is constantly working to improve herself.
  • She is an excellent student maintaining a 3.55 cumulative GPA while taking college prep classes.

April 2018 Student-Athletes

The Upper Sandusky Rams Athletic Boosters would like to congratulate USHS students Nate and Adriane for being selected as the Student-Athletes of the Month for April.

Nate is a junior at USHS and a member of the track team. His coach, Tim Pohlman, nominated him for the following reasons:

  • Nate volunteers as a Salvation Army Kettle Bell ringer, the Fantasy of Lights and with various church related projects.
  • He has a passion for bringing out the best in his peers by displaying ideal morals and values.
  • Nate is very positive even in trying times. He is always optimistic in how he and his teammates will perform.
  • He is an outstanding student maintaining a 3.947 GPA while taking advanced courses and is in the top 10 of his class.

Adriane is a senior at USHS and a member of the track team. Her coach, Tim Pohlman, nominated her for the following reasons:

  • Adriane is involved with the Star Theatre, working with Girl Scouts and being involved with the community garden at Fairhaven.
  • She excels at setting the bar high and encouraging her teammates to be their very best.
  • Adriane is extremely kind and always has time to assist her peers when they are in need of assistance or encouragement.
  • She is outstanding student maintaining a 4.0 GPA while taking the most rigorous courses and is in the top 5 of her graduating class.

May 2018 Student-Athletes

May 2018 Student-Athletes

The Upper Sandusky Rams Athletic Boosters would like to congratulate USHS students Clay and Alivia for being selected as the Student-Athletes of the Month for May.

Clay is a senior at USHS and a member of the tennis team. His coach, Aaron Frazee, nominated him for the following reasons:

  • Clay volunteers with the Fantasy of Lights and has run the sound system for plays and musicals.
  • He has been involved in leadership positions with the Chest Club and Quiz Bowl.
  • Clay leads by example in practices and matches. He is a “no-nonsense” type of person who does things the right way.
  • He is an excellent student, maintaining a 3.762 GPA while also earning a 35 on his ACT.

Alivia is a junior at USHS and a member of the softball team. Her coach, Luke Swavel, nominated her for the following reasons:

  • Alivia volunteers with Upward Basketball Evaluations and various church activities.
  • She always does her best and never gets down, which allows her teammates to relax and play ball.
  • Alivia is a hard worker and when things aren’t going to way she likes on the field, she works even harder.
  • She is outstanding student, maintaining a 3.987 GPA and is a member of the National Honor Society.
